He's Here!!

Over the past 9 months I have shared with you my journey through our second pregnancy. I am happy to announce that our little one has arrived...It's a BOY! :) We decided to be surprised on the gender, so we were very excited when the doctor said "boy". We would have been happy with either, but just the idea of not knowing really had us excited. We are SO in love with our little guy, and so is big sister! I cannot wait to watch him as he changes and grows...and to see the two of them grow up being so close in age. I'm sure they will be great friends. :)

Blogging

I really enjoy blogging. I think it's a great way to keep a sort of journal as well as keep in touch with family and friends. The Internet is truly a remarkable thing. I love reading others blogs and I hope people feel the same about mine. The best thing about blogs, they just keep going. Youc an continue them forever if you want...even if you have times when you don't post as much as you'd like. It's great!

Mom Blog

I have been working hard on my Mom blog these days. I actually am having a lot of fun doing product reviews and giveaways for my readers. I apologize if I haven't been as good to post here on this blog. I'm hoping to get back in the swing of things soon. I've just been busy setting some things up for the Holiday Season on my Mom blog and haven't had much time for anything else. Hopefully soon though. If you're interested in checking it out...just click on A Mom's Balancing Act in my Blog Roll along the side column.

Swimming Lessons

Kaelyn has been doing swimming lessons for a little while now. It's not quite what I expected...very unstructured! However, since she had never really had much exposure to the pool (besides the zero depth entrance this summer) I think it's been good for her. We don't have a membership to the Y so it's been a good experience and one I know she'll benefit from in the future. I wish she had more access to pools like this one, but for the time being she doesn't. Something is better than nothing I suppose.

Karisma

Scott and I would love to go on a vacation sometime in the near future. It's been quite a while since we've gone anywhere. Just for fun, we were looking online and found Karisma. The Karisma Hotels are a collection of properties on the beaches of the Mexican Riviera Maya. This resort looks absolutely beautiful and sounds divine as well! They offer a new gourmet-inclusive concept, particularly great for those who love food like we do! They have elite service and a truly relaxing environment with many classy accommodations. When the time comes for us to look more seriously into a vacation spot...Karisma will definitely be on the top of our list. It would also make a great destination weddings location for anyone looking to get married. Check it out for yourself!

So Slow

Could this week go any slower?! It seems to be dragging on for some reason. I always enjoy for my weeks to go quickly and my weekends to go slowly...but it always seems to be the other way around. Do you find that too? I'm hoping that this next weekend isn't like that....we could us a nice relaxing weekend....as the next will be busy and full of painting. In some respects though, the weeks have been going by fairly quickly...I'm already 26 weeks pregnant and can't believe I'm almost to the third trimester already. I'm so excited to meet this little one...hope November comes quickly!

Kaelyn's Birthday Around The Corner

It's hard for me to believe that our little girl is over 21 months old already! Her two year birthday is in sight and I've already been starting to think about what we might do for it. I don't think we'll have a big party like we did for her one year birthday, but I will still make her a cake and big deal about it of course. :) She has many favorite things, but lately it's Elmo. I'm thinking about attempting my first cake and making her Elmo for her birthday. We'll see. I may need some assistance I have a feeling!

Swimming

We don't have a whole lot for Kaelyn to do in our backyard so this weekend we got out the pool. She loves to swim and it was so nice out....so what better thing to do than that, right?! She loved it. We actually pulled the slide from her climber into the pool which she loved using to make a big splash. I think she could play for hours in there...it's just so much fun. We got lots of pictures, but this is just one showing what a great time she was having! Smiles are contagious, don't you think?! A picture says a thousand words!!

Soon to be 2 years old!

In just a couple of days our little girl will be 21 months old already! Where does the time go?? It's crazy to think that she is nearing two years old...not only because of how fast time goes, but also because shortly after her second birthday we will welcome another member into our family. She's very excited about the baby and I know she will make such a wonderful big sister. She's so helpful and loving...her baby brother or sister is very lucky to have her as an older sibling! I can't wait to see how she reacts to having a little one around. Plan on seeing plenty of pictures once November rolls around. :)

Allegro Medical

When I became a mom, one of the first things I looked into was where I could find the most affordable medical supplies. I came to realize how important it was to have ever thing on hand...whether it be band aids or something else. I was happy to come across Allegro Medical, one of the largest independent online retailers of life enhancing products, like ensure, here in the US. They now serve over 1 million customers who are satisfied with their services. Whether it's medical supplies, exercise equipment, maternity/baby supplies or even outdoor gear...they have it all! I would definitely suggest taking a look at their website and products and see what you think. I have a feeling you'll be as impressed with them as I was.

Big Girl Bed

Kaelyn is officially in a big girl bed now. I was a little nervous about how the transition from a crib to a bed would go...but our little girl has transitioned wonderfully! She loves her bed and is so proud of it. She wants to show everyone who comes to our house! She sleeps very well in too. We've had very few times when she gets out of bed for any reason. It's nice to have her transitioned...that way the baby will be ready for his/her crib when they arrive in November.

Fun!

Why do weekends have to go by so quickly?? I always look forward to the weekend, and then they fly by. We had a great one, but I just wish it would have lasted longer. Friday my brother and his family were here visiting. Saturday we went to the parade and fireworks with my parents and brothers and then just enjoyed the rest of the day as a family celebrating my dad's birthday. It was great! This coming weekend sounds like it might be a busy one too...but i'm sure it will be fun!

Karisma Hotels

It's that time of year when many of us start thinking about taking a vacation. I know we are. One place we've looked into are the Karisma Hotels located on the beaches of the Mexican Riviera maya. They are a resort collection of properties that offers a new gourmet-inclusive concept. This is designed specifically for those who love food and you could say it's one of the things that really caught my attention and interest. They offer an elite level of service besides which would make for a very relaxing vacation. I was also impressed with the luxurious accommodations they offer and the great entertainment there as well. We haven't decided for sure, but it's definitely on our list of possible family vacation spots this summer.

Toxins

Did you know that research has shown that a big reason why men and women gain weight is due to toxic build up?? I had NO idea! Don't get me wrong, I still think the best way to stay healthy is to eat right and exercise, but it could also be a good idea to rid some of the toxins out of our bodies as well. It was a very interesting article that I read and a completely new concept to me. Detoxifying supplements lare very popular among people right now. I am definitely going to have to read up on this further.

Groceries

I always dread getting groceries...it's not the kind of shopping I enjoy too much. It's always so expensive, but thankfully we've found ways to save on our grocery bill which has been great. There are so many helpful sites out there that have offer coupons of all kinds. We've been utilizing them and have seen quite the difference on our grocery bill. I don't know why we didn't take advantage of these sooner, but am so glad we are now!

Holsted Jewelers

Anyone who knows me, or has followed my blog for a while, knows that I love jewelry. That's why I was impressed when I learned more about Holsted Jewelers and their cubic zirconium jewelry. They have been running since 1971 and provide some beautifully designed jewelry, gifts and accessories to millions of satisfied customers. So, how do they continue to be so successful. Well, besides their high-quality and beautiful designer jewelry, they also believe in great customer service. Their first priority is the customers that come to them. If you'd like to learn more about Holsted Jewelers and their line of jewelry, I would recommend heading over to their site today for more information. It's only a click away!

Blogs

I don't know about you, but one of the things I enjoy most when I get the chance is surfing the web and reading other blogs. Some might say that blogs need to focus on one topic to be worth the time of reading, but I do not agree. In fact, some of my favorite blogs are those that surprise me with the things they talk about. Most of all I enjoy when people speak of things that I can relate to...family, children, parenting, etc. It's fun to read other's experiences and all that they have to say. What about you? What kinds of blogs do you enjoy reading??

Mom Blog

I have a new blog design on my mom blog. I'm very excited about it...as it's definitely more professional and organized looking. I have many new giveaways running, and more to come in the very near future. If you haven't already, head over there and check it out. Take a moment if you would and let me know what you think. I'm very excited about where that blog is going and the direction it's taking. I hope you all enjoy it as well.

Capella

Anyone who has researched quality online education programs has probably come across the online college courses of Capella University, right?! They are a fully accredited online university that provides masters and undergraduate degrees. A school like this allows students to further their education while still being able to hold a full time job if needed. That's what I think is so great about online colleges! Their website is pretty neat too. They offer a lot of information for current and prospective students. My favorite is their "Inside Online Education" podcast that they update frequently. Their latest podcast features a discussion of state-approved reading and literacy program. What a great topic. If you'd like to learn more about this or their school in general....head over to their website today!

This blog post was based on information provided by Blogitive. For more information, please visit Blogitive.com

Blessed

A couple weeks ago we had our 20 week ultrasound. It was a lot of fun to see our little one again. It always makes everything seem that much more real. I look forward to meeting him/her in November. We decided not to find out what we were having. We like to be surprised. Many people think we're having a boy this time...but we'll just have to see. We don't care at all. Either a boy or a girl would be great!! We're very excited about our growing family and feel truly blessed!

Summer or Fall?

Is it summer or fall?? It sure feels like fall these days, even though the calendar says otherwise. I always look forward to summer...because most of our year is cold here in the midwest. Unfortunately this year has not been the greatest. We've had many cold days and lots of rain. It makes it kind of difficult to get out and enjoy the summer. I hope that the last part of summer warms up much more than the first part has. Kaelyn would love to be outdoors more, that's for sure!

PowerOptions

Looking for the best returns? If so, you may want to look into PowerOptions, which provides the essential data you need to invest with stock options. They offer a complete suite of educational materials and free customer support. I was very impressed by this....so many people want to charge you for their help these days. They are known for their patented SmartSearchXL technology that can't be found anywhere else. It allows users to find, compare, analyze, and make money on stock option trading. If you'd like to learn more about PowerOptions, take a minute and head over to their website today. It's very user friendly and you'll find a wealth of information on covered calls there to help you make your decision.

Family

We had such a nice time in Cedar Falls a couple weeks back. We got to spend time with family and help my brother and his family move into their new place. It was great to see everyone and to have some time to relax. Kaelyn sure enjoyed seeing her little cousin. They're the same age so they have a lot of fun together!!! I hope we get the chance to hang out as a family more now that they are back. It's always nice to have family in the same state you live in.

Potty Training

We've decided to start potty training Kaelyn. So far it seems to be going very well. She has a few accidents here and there, but as long as we're at home she is very good about running to the potty to go. I never expected it to start out this easily. I hope she continues to catch on quickly. I don't think it's going to be potty training over night or anything, but I do think she's more than ready. I am hoping she'll be potty trained by the time the baby gets here in November. Diapers are too expensive.

Monex is a trusted leader in precious metals investments for nearly 40 years now. The Monex companies have helped thousands of investors and collectors and continue to this day. They offer rare coins likegold coin, silver and platinum bullion and bullion coins. Monaco Rare Coin offers a unique and variety of resources that are great for any investor or collector. Take a minute and check them out if you never have....you won't be sorry you did.

Golf

The guys were supposed to go golfing today, but I'm thinking they better get going soon if they want to get some golf in. The weather forecast looks like rain, which means golf may be cut short. This is one of the first times they've been out this summer and it's Father's Day, so I want to make sure they have a great day today. It's what they love to do and it would be nice for them to have a great day to do it! So far it's looking descent so hopefully they can get some holes in.

BluFrog Wildly Healthy Energy Drink Review

A couple of months ago, my family and I had the opportunity to try and review a sample of the BluFrog Energy Drink. I had never heard of it, and wasn't too sure how I'd like it. I'm more of a water kind of girl. After a couple sips though, I could tell it was something I could get used to, but still thought it would appeal to my husband even more than myself. I was right! He ended up drinking the rest of what we had received.

Typically we don't drink energy drinks around our house...but what I can say, is that I really appreciated the healthy side of this drink. It contained healthier ingredients, real fruit, lower calories and carbs than others out there on the market...not to mention nothing artificial in it and tons of vitamins in each serving. It's really no ordinary energy drink, that's for sure! Oh, and it also tastes pretty good too.

I recently learned of a BluFrog contest going on that I thought I'd pass along as well. You can check it out over at http://itsabluworld.com for the rules, and learn more about the cool prizes they're offering!

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Rain, Rain, Go Away! I can't believe that it's still raining out. I feel like it's been raining for weeks straight! That's not exactly true...we did have one day that was nice enough to spend outdoors. For the most part though, all we've had is rain. In fact, it's not just rain, but some pretty nasty weather. It sure doesn't feel like summer is here yet. What a bummer. Here in the midwest we wait for summer...and once it comes we cherish every day because it's not long at all. Unfortunately this year, summer doesn't even feel like it has begun yet and it's probably half over already.

Holsted Jewelers

Every girl likes jewelry now and again...right?! I know I do. That's why I enjoy browsing Holsted jewelers website. They provide beautifully designed jewelry, gifts and accessories that every woman will adore. Since 1971 they have been satisfying customers with their unique line of products. They offer high quality items and terrific customer service. What more can you ask for?! I can see why they are so well received. What's great is that they offer such unique merchandise. It's truly your own and fits your taste and your budget. If you're looking for beautiful and affordable jewelry...Holsted Jewelers is someone you definitely should check out!

Great Day

Today was a wonderful day! It started out with a showing of our house....we always like showings because that means a potential buyer! I also had my 4 month dr appointment. The baby is doing great and the heart rate is strong! Next time I go we'll get to have the big ultrasound!! YEAH! Can't wait! We're not finding out what the sex of the baby is but it's still fun to see him/her on the screen. This pregnancy is going so fast. I can't believe that soon our little one will be here.

Vacation

My parents and brother are on their way to Philadelphia for a few days! I'm so happy that they could go and be there for my brother as he graduates with his masters. I wish we could go...but Scott's job doesn't have the time off available to him for us to go. We'll get to see the fam in a couple weeks when my brother moves back from Texas. That should be fun! Until then I have enjoyed looking at pics of them on vacation...looks like they're having a blast! :)

Paintball

Paintball seems like a popular activity among young people. In fact, even people my age engage in it once in a while. I happened to come across ZephyrPaintball.com and thought the paintball gear they offer would be something many people would appreciate. Their prices are low and they have free shipping on paintball guns, goggles, hoppers, paintball marker package, and other packages. They were founded in 2003 and strive to provide the best prices and experiences for buyers. Their complete line of paintball guns and other gear is very impressive and includes names like Dye, Invert, kingman Spyder, and more! Check them out if you or someone you know is interested in Paintball.

19 Months Old!

Kaelyn is 19 months old! I can't hardly believe she is officially past 1 1/2 and is nearing her second birthday already!! WOW! She's getting to be such a big girl. She's so independent and very smart. We're constantly amazed at the words and phrases she is learning. Children at this age are like little sponges and they soak in all that is said goes on around them. Over the past few months she enjoys conversing with others even more....she walks up to everyone saying "hi" or "hello". She still signs, but along with her signing she uses the words. She loves the outdoors now that the weather is nicer and still is very much a Daddy's Girl! We recently got her a baby doll to help get her ready for her little baby brother/sister due in November. She calls her Emma and carries her all around the house. She loves to give her hugs and kisses and even lays her down and covers her with a blanket while she says "nigh nigh Emma". Those are a few of the many things Kaelyn is doing now! She's such a joy!

American Idol Finale

Well....Kris Allen ended up winning American Idol...as I'm sure just about everyone knows by now! I have to admit that Danny was my number one pick...but between Adam and Kris....Kris was my first choice. There have been many speculations that people only voted for Kris because he seems like a "clean cut guy" compared to Adam. I for one don't agree with that. I voted for him because his type of music is the kind that I would prefer to listen to on the radio. I think for a lot of people it probably boiled down to style and the type of music they like. Either way...Adam will be very successful...he has a great voice!

Charter Cable

Charter Cable always seems to have something new going on. Recently I read that they're giving away one 10,000 dollar prize and four 52 inch HD televisions. How would you like the chance to enter to win a prize like that? If so, for the month of May only, you can visit charter.net/10grand every week and answer questions about Charter On Demand!! A TV will be given away every week, and if you answer the questions all 4 weeks for 4 chances to win the 10,000 grand prize as well! Very exciting if you ask me. Some more great news about Charter is that their Charter on Demand has a huge library of over 6000 movies!!

Charter is known for their great giveaways and this is just one more way they are thanking all of their wonderful customers for their support!! I would strongly urge you to head over to their Win 10 Grand Contest Page and enter to win today. While you're there, check out their services if you're not familiar.....you won't be sorry you did! They have great packages and prices...I know we've always enjoyed doing business with them and I think you will too! Also check out Charter’s Twitter Feed!

American Idol Says Goodbye to Danny Gokey

I have to say that I was a little disappointed after watching American Idol last night. I was a Danny Gokey fan...so to see him go was very saddening. In my opinion he had the best voice and the most versatility to sing anything! I was a little surprised to see him go before Kris, but when it gets down to three great singers, you just never know what's going to happen. I wish him well with his continued success in singing and really hope that he goes on to make a CD!

18 months old

I can't believe Kaelyn is 18 months old already. On the first she turned 1 1/2 and it hardly seems possible. I know I say that every month, but it's true. It seems like just yesterday we were in the hospital, and now here we are 18 months later. What a sweet little girl she is too. She has so much personality and is so much fun. We're truly blessed to have her in our lives and as our daughter!!

Beautiful Day

Today is a beautiful day! We went outside after church to enjoy the sun and do a little landscaping. This afternoon I have a bridal shower to go to, but am still looking forward to being outside some too. Summer weather has been a long time coming and I am so excited that we're finally getting some! Kaelyn loves it too. She would run around outside all day if she could. As the weather gets warmer I am sure we'll be out there much more.

Web Hosting Ratings and Reviews

I have been blogging for quite some time now. I have a few blogs, and I have to say that a couple of them I haven't been the best about posting on a regular basis. I have decided that it's time to find a web hosting service for my two blogs which do not have their own domains...this one included. I don't know if you've realized this with your own websites...but when they have their own domain it seems they are not only more marketable, but can really bring in a better income as well. In comparing with the site that I do have a domain on....I would have to say that hands down that one does much better all around.

In searching, I came across WebHostingGeeks.com. I was impressed with the user-friendliness of their site, and services offered, and am very excited to get started! I found most of what I was looking for in their best budget hosting and best vps hosting sections. How about you? Would you like to find a web hosting service that's dependable? If so, you definitely should check out this site. What do you have to lose? What's great is you can search through reviews and ratings of many different web hosting services to find something that's best for you. It's easy and convenient.

Finding the right web hosting service can be difficult and time consuming, but not with WebHostingGeeks.com. Head over to their site today and begin your search! You won't be sorry you did!

Busy and Fun Weekend

We had a fun, but busy weekend. My brother moved into his condo. It has been a long time coming and he was SO ready to actually have a place to call his own rather than throwing money down the drain each month with rent. I'm so glad he made this transition....his place is perfect for him! It's incredible. We went down this weekend with my parents to help him get moved in and start getting the place in order. In only a couple of days we accomplished quite a bit. I'm happy for him....I'm sure he's enjoying every minute of being in his new place. It's great!

Allegro Medical

In 1996 Allegro Medical was founded. They are now one of the largest and most advanced online retailers of life enhancing products and serve more than 1 million customers! Wow! They have expanded their collection of products offered to include Exercise & Fitness Equipment, Nutritional Dietary Supplements, Maternity/Baby Supplies and Outdoor Gear. Now I don't know about you, but in my opinion that covers a lot of products that many people could use. I have searched through their user friendly website before and found it to be quite easy to find everything I was looking for. That's because of the categories and subcategories available. Whether it's wheeled walkers or something else...they really do have it all! Check out their site today and see what you think.

Reading Blogs

I don't know about you, but one of the things I enjoy most when I get the chance is surfing the web and reading other blogs. Some might say that blogs need to focus on one topic to be worth the time of reading, but I do not agree. In fact, some of my favorite blogs are those that surprise me with the things they talk about. Most of all I enjoy when people speak of things that I can relate to...family, children, parenting, etc. It's fun to read other's experiences and all that they have to say. What about you? What kinds of blogs do you enjoy reading??

Hugs and Kisses

Kaelyn's hugs and kisses are the best! Today I had a terrible headache....one I'm pretty sure has been brought on from the stress of all this house stuff. I was pretty miserable, and after taking something in hopes that it would help cease the pain, I decided to lay on the couch while she was playing on the floor. Typically I would take this time to play with her, but with my head pounding, it was much better for me to watch her while laying down for a little while. It was so cute though...as much as I expected her to continue playing with her toys...the instant she saw me lay down on the couch...it was almost as if she knew I wasn't feeling well because she came right over, stood by me and gave me one kiss after another while smiling from ear to ear. She was even giving hugs too!! She's such a sweetie. Now, if that doesn't make someone who doesn't feel well smile, I don't know what will?!? :) I can honestly say that this brightened my day and was the beginning of feeling better.

Get Your Education Online

Getting your education online is becoming more and more popular! It's something that allows people to further their education while still being able to keep their full time jobs. I think it's great and know that Scott has even considered it before. Capella University is probably the one I've heard most about. They are a fully accredited online university that is known for their quality education and variety of programs offered. I was very impressed when looking into them further. As I did some searching for Scott, I found a web release discussing their Sunny Andrews Award, given to Jeannie McGuire who received a master's degree in human services from this online degree. It seems that many students and faculty members go on to do great things after Capella!

Tired

For some reason today I'm feeling like I definitely did not get enough sleep last night. That makes for a rough beginning to my day. I wish there were more time while Kaelyn naps to sleep a little bit, but that is my only time during the day when I really have the chance to get a lot of things done....cleaning, laundry, etc. Oh well...I'll just make sure to go to bed a bit earlier tonight. Kaelyn goes to sleep at 8, so anytime after that we can go to bed. I also think it would help if we didn't get people calling at 4:30 in the morning and then realizing they have the wrong number....

Great Hubby

I haven't been feeling the best these days and I'm so thankful to have a husband like Scott. He's been so great to help where he can. That includes helping with cleaning, supper and Kaelyn! What a great guy! I'm so blessed to have him as my husband. He's helpful and loving. He comes home from work after a long day and asks me first thing what he can do to help. Now that's a great guy!

PowerOptions

If you're looking find the best returns....the tools on PowerOptions can help! They offer a complete suite of educational materials and premium toll-free customer support! That's pretty impressive if you ask me. But wait...don't stop there...they also provide the essential data you need to invest with stock options. Their SmartSearchXL Technology is only available there, no where else. So, if you'd like the benefits PowerOptions offers...you definitely should check them out today. Their site offers a wealth of information so you'll be sure to find all the answer to any question you might have about stock options trading. So, what are you waiting for...head over there today and check it out!

Moving

Scott and I have sure had a lot going on lately. We're in the process of selling our house and buying a new one. We've already found the house we want to buy, but are waiting for the right buyer to come along for ours. I know it won't take long...as our house has a lot to offer...especially for families. It will all happen in God's timing and the way He wants it to which is most important to us. When the timing is right everything will work out and we'll be moved closer to family and Scott's job! YEAH!

A Weekend Away

This weekend we will be quite busy. My younger brother Jake just bought his first condo...so we're going to head down and help him move. My parents are down there and have already started helping him...so we'll get there tomorrow and see what else there is to do. I know that moving is always such a big job and the more help the better. I'm looking forward to going down and helping and of course spending time with the family! That's always great too.

The Knot Shop

Weddings can be such a fun thing to plan, but also a bit overwhelming. It's great that there's a place out there online like The Knot Wedding Shop. They have top-quality wedding supplies and novelty items like cameras, ring pillows, personalized bridesmaid gifts and so much more! It's nice that all this can be found in one place. That makes planning much easier and faster! If you're looking to find things at the largest retailer of wedding supplies on the Internet, this is the place for you!! They really do have a lot to offer and have super fast delivery which is important when planning a wedding as well. I'm looking forward to telling anyone I know who is planning a wedding about this. How about you? Pass it on!

It's been a while!

It's definitely been a while since I've been able to post here. Life has been very busy, not giving much time to devote to my blogs. We are currently in the process of selling our home and buying a new one closer to Scott's job. WOW...what a process that has been. I knew it was going to be busy and overwhelming, but it's also very stressful when you're trying to do both things at once. Thankfully our house has been received well, and we're hoping to have an offer on it soon! I will keep everyone posted on that.

The weather has been absolutely beautiful here lately! It's about time though, right?! I was tired of winter weather. I could definitely live with these 80's temps all year long. It's great. Kaelyn is sure loving it too. She's old enough this year to really enjoy the outdoors. We've been outside a lot...and she is busy running all over the place when we do. She also loves bubbles and sidewalk chalk. I'm so glad I'm able to be home with her and experience all these things with her. It's wonderful!

These are a couple of pictures taken of her yesterday as we enjoyed some time outside. :)

Blessed

Today is a special day. Seven years ago Scott and I began dating. It was so great. We had known each other for years, but one day we just thought "hey, we should go out to eat"....the rest is history. :) Now we've been married for almost 4 years and have a beautiful 1 1/2 year old daughter. I couldn't be happier with my life....the Lord has truly blessed us.

Holsted Jewelers

Jewelry is one thing I never thought about buying online, but in today's world people buy everything online! I have heard great things about Holsted Jewelers and all they have to offer their online customers, and have read great reviews from people who are completely satisfied with the products and service. It definitely has me considering purchasing from them as well. They offer quality products and a service you won't find anywhere else. They offer affordable options for those looking to be fashionable and I think that's probably the best part! What's even better is that they don't offer any of their fashion jewelry in retail stores, so you know that you're getting something unique from anyone else. You should definitely check it out if you enjoy jewelry as much as I do!

Moving

Well so far it's looking like everything is going well and my brother will be moving into his condo the weekend of the 4th. I'm looking forward to going down and helping him get moved into his very first place....should be a lot of fun! I think through this whole process though, he's learning how much goes into buying a place and what the closing process all entails. It's not always fun, that's for sure! Hopefully all will go smoothly and he'll be in there soon!

Credit Card Deals

With the economy in such a horrible state, it's hard to know who to trust. And a credit card company can make your life very difficult, so choosing a company wisely is very important. Dealsforcreditcards.com is a great website that can help you compare what made different credit card companies and the different perks that they offer. One of the main features they offer is credit card balance transfer which can make the transferring process almost painless. Being able to utilize a 0% apr credit card balance transfer can be a pretty enticing feature to help get you into that new credit card that fits your needs best. So if you are in the market for a new credit card get all the facts before making a decision.

Almost The Weekend

Finally...I get the chance to sit down for a moment. It's not often that I get to do that and here it is 10:00 and I finally am. It's been a busy week, and all I have to say is that I'm so glad it's Thursday. That means tomorrow is Friday and the weekend is upon us. It's always nice to have Scott home on the weekends helping me with Kaelyn and things around the house. We also try and find time to relax some on weekends which is great too. One more day!

Emerge Labs OrganicSkinCare.com

How would you like an Organic Skin Care line that offers anti-aging results? Many people are desiring a more natural and organic approach to skin care, so the line that Emerge Labs Organic Skin Care presents has been a huge hit! They now have a technology that will protect skin stem cells to help combat aging. PhytoCellTec Malus Domestica helps to boost the stem cells and protect them from stress, wrinkles and more!

I don't know about you, but knowing that Emerge Labs Organic Skin Care offers a professional line of organic skin care options that are 100% fresh and natural definitely has me wanting to learn more about them and use their products. If you'd like to learn more, you can check out their site today! I strongly encourage you to do so.

Busy, Busy

The weeks go by so quickly at times! This week has been especially busy for us, so the fact that it's already Wednesday just baffles me. I'm not complaining or anything though...that just means we're that much closer to the weekend already! YEAH! We'll have an eventful weekend I think. We're either going to go and look at houses in the town we might be moving to, or we will be at home cleaning up the yard and getting ready to list our house on the market. Either way it should be a busy and fun one!

Weight loss Surgery

Isn't technology wonderful? It seems like some of the things they're doing in the medical field are simply amazing...especially the advancement of lap band surgery and the benefits it's bringing to those who need to lose weight. Have you ever heard of, or looked into lapband surgeon before? I have read a little bit about it through Journey Lite and am very impressed with the process. It's the least invasive weight loss surgery out there, and really helps people to lose weight. A small band is placed at the top part of the stomach to help make you feel full faster, and in turn not eat as much. It's not for everyone, but is definitely worth looking into if you'd like to lose some weight.

Dogsitting

In a few days we'll be getting my parents dog. They are going to take a few days to go and shop and just enjoy some time off from work. I'm looking forward to having Zoe here...she's always fun to have around. Kaelyn loves it too! She follows Zoe around everywhere...petting her and saying "nice"! She's also great company. Some nights Scott gets home later, so it's nice for Kaelyn and I to have some company with Zoe here. She's such a good dog!

Affordable Gift Ideas For Women

Special gifts for women aren't hard to come by, but they can cost quite a bit. Many of us enjoy the finer things in life....flowers, perfume, jewelry, even electronics....all these are great, but they can be quite expensive. It's nice when there's affordable options out there so that special gifts can still be given.

I happened to come across savebuckets.co.uk which offers many affordable gift ideas...including electronics. Electronics are always great gift ideas....for both men and women! What kinds of electronics gift ideas can you come up with? I have a list of many, as I'm sure most women do, but on the top of that list would definitely be a new laptop computer. Being able to find a laptop at an extremely affordable price is rare, so when you can it's definitely a great gift option! Another great idea is a Nintendo Wii or the latest Nintendo DS Games. Believe it or not, these are two items many would enjoy receiving...even women!

If you're looking for great gift ideas, at affordable prices...definitely check out SaveBuckets.co.uk today! You won't be sorry you did!

The Bachelor Shocker!

Did anyone watch the season finale of the Bachelor last night! Wow is all I have to say! It was an absolute shocker. I had read and heard some of the "spoilers" floating around in cyberspace, but couldn't believe that it could actually be true. Unfortunately it was, and now one who seems to be a sweet person has been hurt in front of millions of viewers.

I don't know about you, but the whole "proposing to Melissa, then dumping her for runner up Molly" all seems a bit odd and doesn't really make sense?!? There are many I know who feel the same way. Although he does have the right to find love and follow his heart...after everything it seems he doesn't know how to do that. To propose to someone 6 weeks before saying he has "no doubts", and then in that short amount of time deciding it just "won't work between them" tells me two things. This guy isn't willing to work to save a relationship and doesn't understand what a serious commitment an engagement is. If he was truly that sure he wanted to marry Melissa I think he would have tried harder than 6 weeks (and waited until their relationship could be more "normal" in public) before completely dismissing their relationship. I also think that he obviously doesn't take the whole "engaged" title very seriously. To be engaged means one step closer to being married. If he gives up that easily with someone he is engaged to, what is he going to do with someone he is just dating, like Molly?!? I'd be cautious if I were her.

I have to say that after watching the finale and the After The Rose show last night, I am baffled and very disappointed. It really has me questioning if The Bachelor is really worth watching?!

Psoriasis Drug that Kills Patients

Have you heard the news that there's actually an FDA warning out there that Raptiva, the Psoriasis drug available, can actually cause serious brain infection called Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML). That's a pretty scary warning if you ask me! I happened to read about this warning on the Raptiva PML website and thought it would be worth passing along. Anytime there's a warning of any kind, especially one of such seriousness it's important that we get the word out!

It's really a scary thing, something that has already killed two people and may have affected more than that. It's also being linked to meningitis, immune-mediated hemolytic anemia, and other life-threatening infections. It's important to know that if you or someone you know has taken something like this and been effected you may be able to get financial compensation. You can learn more on the RaptivaPML website as well as the http://www.youhaverights.com/dangerous-drugs/raptiva website. I would encourage you to head over there today and learn more about the Raptiva side effects and pass the word along as well.

Great Movie

Tonight Scott, myself and my brother watched the movie Fools Gold. I watched some of it with my dad one day, but hadn't seen the whole thing. It was nice to just relax and watch a movie as good as this one tonight. I really liked it. I'm surprised I'd never seen it before, as it had well known actors in it. It was a really cute movie and one that I'd like to own I think. My brother had seen it before, but Scott and I hadn't. I'd definitely see it again.

Karisma Hotels

The Karisma Hotels are located on the Mexican Riviera Maya...a beautiful location and a great vacation spot. This resort collection offers a new gourmet inclusive concept which is perfect for all those who love food! I know I do....and this is a vacation I've been wanting to go on for quite some time! There are many luxurious accommodations in these cancun hotels, such as snap to service, beach butlers, swim up rooms, beach beds and so much more! It's a very relaxing way to spend a vacation...for a honeymoon vacation or a family vacation. I would encourage you to look into it and see what you think. It's quite impressive.

Grocery Shopping

I always dread getting groceries...it's not the kind of shopping I enjoy too much. It's always so expensive, but thankfully we've found ways to save on our grocery bill which has been great. There are so many helpful sites out there that have offer coupons of all kinds. We've been utilizing them and have seen quite the difference on our grocery bill. I don't know why we didn't take advantage of these sooner, but am so glad we are now!

Busy Weekend

Even though it's the weekend, I feel like I haven't had much time to relax. I'm definitely needing a nap, but don't know that I'll have time for one. Sometimes I wish that there were just more hours in a day. It seems that there's never enough time to get things done. Today we're working on laundry, cleaning and getting some work done online, all while obviously doing our other daily tasks as well. It's a busy time, but at least Scott is here to help. Kaelyn and I always love it when he's home.

Allegro Medical

In 1996 a company was founded which would bring much convenience to those seeking life enhancing products. The name of that company is Allegro Medical, and they now serve more than 1 million customers! They are known to be the largest and most advanced independent online retailer of these types of products in the US. They offer everything from Exercise & Fitness Equipment, Nutritional Dietary Supplements, Maternity/Baby Supplies to Outdoor Gear. I was impressed when visiting their site, as I had no idea how user friendly it would be with all of these products they had offer. It was easy to learn all that they had to offer and I wanted to pass it along who wanted to learn about mentor as well.

Out to Eat

Last night we were able to enjoy a yummy supper with my brother Jake. He had never eaten at the large buffet here at the Casino...so we went there and had a great meal! He loves seafood, so he really enjoyed the fact that it was a seafood night. He ate the best crab he's ever had he said. I'm glad he liked it. He loves to eat out and try new places...now he can say he's eaten there. Kaelyn really liked their food too. It was a lot of fun. I'm glad we had the chance to go with him there. We don't go out to eat a lot, so when we do, it's fun.

Talking With Our Realtor

We had a Realtor come this week and look at our place before we list it on the market. We wanted her input on it, just to see if she had any advice on things we could change before selling. She really had nothing to say, other than the fact that she thinks it's a great place with a lot to offer. Other than a few things which we know need fixing (kitchen lights and bathroom faucet), we should be ready to sell by the end March I think. I'm excited, but at the same time a little nervous. I'm sure it will all go well...it's just a bit overwhelming.

Karisma Hotels

Karisma Hotels are a collection of properties located on the beautiful beaches of the Mexican Riviera Maya. They a resort collection which offers a new gourmet-inclusive concept, perfect for all those who love food as much as I do! Not only do they offer this, but also many luxurious accommodations like beach beds, bar swings, snap-to service, and so much more! This is any travelers dream. I for one would love to visit Karisma and take in all they have to offer. If you're looking for a relaxing and luxurious vacation, one where you don't have to waste all your silver coins, check into Karisma Hotels today! You won't be sorry you did.

Selling on Ebay

Ebay is always a good way to find great deals. I began thinking it may be a good way to make a little money too. However, after a few days of selling, I realize that the fees eBay and Paypal charge outweigh any profit you can make. I know some people are very successful, but they must have a great wholesaler then. I have had very little luck and don't think it will be something I will pursue further. I was hoping it would be a better source of money...I guess I"ll keep looking.

Selling Our Car

We're in the process of selling our second car. It's kind of bittersweet. We love having it, and it really doesn't cost us much to have. However, we don't really use it much, and we decided it's really only losing value just sitting the garage every day. Someone that Scott works with was in great need for a car that could ge t his wife to and from work without the high cost of gas that they were paying in their suburban. We decided on a price, and are in the process of selling it to them. They really like it and I think it will be a great car for them.

Language Development

When we were visiting with Kaelyn's doctor at her appointment on Tuesday, she commented on how many words Kaelyn is saying. Her vocabulary has really increased, and she noticed just through observation. I'm really glad that Kaelyn is a "talker"....it helps us to understand what it is she's needing and wanting. For instance, today she wanted water with her snack...so she said "wawa" and I knew exactly what it was she needed. Since she was very young, Kaelyn has enjoyed "communicating". At first it was through her signing, then jabbering and hand motions, and now real words. It's fun to see all the stages she's goes through when it comes to expressing herself. I can't really pinpoint one thing that would have helped her find words so early, other than the signing thing and reading books to her. I think both of those are very important when it comes to language development.

When it comes to books, Kaelyn even enjoys grabbing a book on her own and flipping through the pages. She has one book that's really fun to read to her, and probably one of my favorites. She enjoys it, but as she gets older, she will enjoy the signifcance of it even more. It's the personalized Children's book that I received to do a review on a few months back. It's a great book full of her name in the text and illustrations. I hope one day it sparks a curiosity for reading and makes it more fun for her too.

TGIF!

I'm so glad it's Friday...how about you?!! It's just been a long week and it will be nice to have Scott home with us for a couple of days. I always find weekends to be a time for housework, but also a time to relax with Scott and Kaelyn. We don't get to do that very often, so when we do, it's great!! This weekend there isn't much planned, so hopefully there will be some time to rest and enjoy each other's company!! I have some tax stuff to get together, but other than that it will be pretty low key.

Flooring in our new home

In the not so distant future, Scott and I are hoping to move closer to his job. In doing so, we would like to find a home comparable to the one we have now. I suppose the main difference for me, would be to look for something with more carpet and not so many hard floors. Having a young child, this is just a better fit for us. If we find a home we like, but it doesn't not have the flooring we are looking for....at least it would be somewhat of an easy fix, especially with CoyleCarpet.com. I found their site and they offer so much information on all kinds of flooring types. They will be very helpful in search and will help to find us the best products at the best prices. It's nice that there's a company we can trust when it comes to all of our flooring needs.

15 Month Drs Appointment

Tuesday we took Kaelyn to her Drs appointment and were quite surprised how much she has grown....that's always the most fun part about going. Since November at her 12 month appointment, Kaelyn has grown nearly 2 inches and gained 1 1/2 pounds. We thought that was pretty good and so did her doctor. She was also talking up a storm for her Dr, so she was able to hear the number of words Kaelyn has been saying. It's weird to think that after her 18 month appointment she will only start going once a year....I can't believe she is that old already. Where does the time go?!

Bathroom Remodel

I think one of my favorite rooms to decorate is the bathroom! Since moving in our home over a year ago...we've done a lot of decorating, especially in our bathroom. At some point we'd like to do the bathroom in the basement, and when that time comes I will be sure to find the very best fabric shower curtain from Cozy Homewares. They have so many different fabric shower curtains to chose from....good quality and affordable. I think a shower curtain is really what adds to a bathroom. I am looking forward to that little project.

Weekends

I can't believe the weekend is over already. Crazy how quickly it goes. We had a great couple of days though. Yesterday we were able to spend some time at home with Kaelyn. It was fun to relax and spend time together as a family. Today we went out to eat with my parents and then to a movie while they watched Kaelyn. It was great seeing them! Now we're home winding down for the night while we watch the superbowl.

Capella University

Capella University is a fully accredited online university that wants to help people pursue the education they deserve from the comfort of their own home. They are continually growing and offering high quality education for those who want it. Whether it's an undergraduate degree, or master's degree....they have it all through the online college courses that they offer.. Capella University would definitely be my top choice. I often hear about former students who are doing great things with the degrees they have earned there. For instance, Jeannie McGuire. She is the founder of Project Unity and also has a master's degree in human services from there. She recently received the Sunny Andrews Award for outstanding commitment to social work from ASWB. If you'd like to learn more about her story and about Capella...take a moment and visit their site today.

Great Daytime TV

I don't watch a lot of tv during the day, but once in a while I do enjoy watching Dr Phil. I don't agree with everything he says, but there are some shows that are right on. I enjoy the real people he has on that have real circumstances that many can relate to. His son has a show of his own called the Doctors which is also very good. I enjoy real shows like this that aim to help people.

The Holodomor Truth

I always enjoy browsing the web and finding interesting sites and blogs to read. How about you? I especially like it when it's a website offering information that's new and interesting to me. Today I found that in the holodomor Truth site. I enjoy learning things about history and what people think of it. This site focuses on the great famine of the Soviet Union and questioning whether or not it was a just that, or a genocide. Many think that it was an attempt to destroy the Ukranian nation, however it has been found that it was not a genocide, rather a terrible famine that took many lives.

I found all the information this site had to offer to be very interesting. I also enjoyed it's user friendly layout. It's well written and easy for anyone to understand and learn from. It's simple in appearance and not loaded with unnecessary ads and other things that would take away from the content. Anyone would appreciate a site such as this and I strongly would urge you to head over there and check it out for yourself. It's at http://holodomor-truth.org. You won't be sorry you did! I'm sure of it.

"Where'd it Go?"

It seems like every day Kaelyn begins to do or say something new. We just love it! :) Recently her favorite thing is to hide something, then look at us, put her hands up in the air and say "where'd it go?" or "where's it at?". Scott was finally able to get it on video and thought I'd share. Aren't little ones the best?!? :)

I Love Shoes!

Like every girl, I LOVE shoes. It doesn't matter if they're stylish or casual...I have all kinds. It's fun to have all kinds of shoes that will go with different outfits. I always enjoy learning of new brands, especially when they're as well known and trusted as daniblack shoes. What I think is so great about them is not only the unique styles and wonderful quality, but also their prices!! If you enjoy styles that you won't find anywhere else....I would strongly suggest you take a look at their site. Whether it's wedge shoes you are looking for, or boots....they have it all! Not to mention a very user friendly site that makes it really easy to find whatever it is you're looking for. I had no problem browsing their shoes and finding a pair that I would love to have.

After searching and finding many I liked, I have to say the Bess sandals are probably my favorite. I love this style of shoe, especially to wear in the summer time. I like when they are a little bit dressy, but still have that casual feel. I would definitely wear these for all sorts of occasions...probably with jeans or a simple summery dress. Aren't they adorable??

Weekends

Why do weekends have to go by so quickly?? I always look forward to the weekend, and then they fly by. WE had a great one, but I just wish it would have lasted longer. Friday Scott and I were able to go to the movie while his mom watched Kaelyn. Then Saturday we had all day to spend here at home spending time together as a family and cleaning the house. Sunday Scott's Dad came over and it was nice to see him and Denise too! Last night Scott rented the movie PS I Love for us to watch...it's a great movie! All in all it was a great weekend and I am already looking forward to the next one.

Toxins causing weight gain?!?

Did you know that research has shown that a big reason why men and women gain weight is due to toxic build up?? I had NO idea! Don't get me wrong, I still think the best way to stay healthy is to eat right and exercise, but it could also be a good idea to rid some of the toxins out of our bodies as well. It was a very interesting article that I read and a completely new concept to me. Detoxifying supplements like Orovo detox are very popular among people right now. I am definitely going to have to read up on this further.

Kaelyn's fun day!

This Friday should be a fun day for Kaelyn. She'll start out the day at my parents house while I am at the dentist. She loves hanging out there...Grammy and Grampa have so many fun things for her to do. :) I think my dad may get off work a little early so it will be fun for her to see him too. Then, that night Scott is going to take me to a movie, so Kaelyn will be watched by his mom! She'll have a great time, I just know it. It's nice that we have so much family around to watch her if we need.

Staying Healthy

I often wish that there was a diet pill out there that was completely safe to use and all natural. Although some claim to be these things...I can't help but think that they are probably not the best choice. It's not always fun, but unfortunately healthy eating and exercise are probably the best way to lose weight and stay healthy. There are conflicting opinions about this topic out there, but in my opinion that's the best.

eBay Drama

Do you ever use eBay?? We do every once in a while, and thankfully we typically we do not have any problems. It's too bad that there are a few people out there though that really do ruin it for everyone. This week we've had two bad experiences. The first is an item we ordered for my mom. It was ordered over two weeks ago and the person was contacted twice. They finally got back with us and were very rude in their comments. The second instance was something we were selling. Two days after having one it, and one day after having paid it...the guy puts a hold on the payment until I prove that it has been shipped. Duh! Obviously people do not think...not only am I not going to ship it out with a hold on the payment...but why would he think it would even be shipped out one day after having been paid. It's a bit frustrating!

Convenience of Shopping Online

There are certain thing which I'm sure people would rather just buy from the comfort of their own home. Whether that be creams for vaginal dryness...or even clothing...sometimes it's just easier to stay at home and do the ordering than run out and buy them. The Web has definitely become a shopping option for me these days. Being a stay at home mom I don't have much time to get out and go shopping. I find it's much easier to do most of my shopping right online. I know some people would argue that it's costing more in shipping to shop like this, however gas is expensive these days too...so either way you look at it, it's probably not going to make that big of a difference.

Allegro Medical

Allegro Medical is a large independently owned online retailer of life enhancing products and medical equipment. They have more than 1 million satisfied customers and I can see why after learning about all of the products they provide. Whether it's Exercise & Fitness Equipment, Nutritional Dietary Supplements, Maternity/Baby Supplies or Outdoor Gear that you're looking for, Allegro Medical is the place for you to check out first. They offer 55,000 products and have 50 different categories to search through on their website. If you'd like to learn more about them and the things they have to offer you, like duocal, head over to AllegroMedical.com today.

Dr Appt.

In a couple of weeks we get to take Kaelyn to her 15 month appointment. I always look forward to these appointments, as we get to see how much she's grown. She did get the flu at the end of December, but aside from that she's been eating like crazy...I'm sure she's gained quite a bit of weight in past few months and has grown taller as well. I love hearing how much she's grown as well as hearing the developmental stages she is going through. All of it is so much fun!

Maternity Tees

When I was pregnant we decided not to find out what were having. However, I know that there are many people who do. For those who do find out, I'm sure they want to find creative ways of announcing the sex of the baby. I know I would. One great way to do this is by wearing a maternity tee that says the baby's gender. T-shirts like this would also be great to wear to a baby shower as well. I took a look at the Baby ParTees and they are extremely cute!! Not only are they made of high quality cotton, but the writing on them is in crystals...not rhinestones. It's perfect for any one who is pregnant and knows what they are having. BabyParTees is a product line of Wedding ParTees.

If you'd like to learn more about these Baby ParTees Maternity Shirts, head over to their site and check it out for yoruself. You won't be sorry you did!! They offer a very user friendly site where it's easy to navigate and find whatever it is you're looking for. Whether it's a gift for someone who is expecting, or a gift for yourself....I would recommend checking out this site and their products first.

Supper

I was trying to think of what we could have for supper tonight, when it suddenly hit me that Scott's mom will probably be coming. She typically comes to visit on Wednesday nights and brings us supper. It's always nice to see her and Kaelyn loves it too. I guess that means that the supper I had decided to make will be put on hold until tomorrow. That's alright though...Subway is always good once in a while! :)

Handcrafted Jewelry

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love jewelry!! Especially the kind that is unique and handcrafted. That's why I was pretty impressed with http://www.archmailledesigns.com. This site offers a great deal of unique and beautiful magnetic jewelry right along the lines of what I would normally wear. If you'd like to check out this small jewelry business where everything is handcrafted by it's owner, then head over there and check it out for yourself.

Feeling Rested

Boy do I feel rested. It's wonderful when Kaelyn goes right to sleep at 8PM and doesn't wake up until 8 AM. Obviously I don't get quite that much sleep...but still...going to bed at 11 and getting up at 8 is pretty nice. I must say that my schedule is one I have gotten quite used to. :) I often wish I could take a nap during the day too...but having only one nap now for Kaelyn really makes that difficult....as her nap time is the only time I really have to get a good amount of things done. That's ok though.....I'm feeling very rested.

Vehicle Storage

Now that Jake is here I finally get to see his new car!! It's a BMW and is so nice!! He takes really good care of his cars, so I know this one will probably stay in great condition as long as he owns it. It's very cute, and a great red color. It would be a good family car I think too. I wish it weren't so cold out, as I would stay outside longer to check it out more. Scott actually pulled one of our cars out of the garage so he could park his in there. He isn't too happy about driving it in all the snow and dirt. It handles well, but he doesn't want it to get dirty. I think he's looking into vehicle storage. He's wanting something that will allow him to keep his car as nice as possible. I don't blame him. There are many things to know about vehicle storage and many benefits to doing it. It's great for people here in the midwest.

Uncle Jake is Visiting

My brother Jake decided to come up and visit us for a couple of days. Kaelyn is sure excited! She loves her Uncle Jake. She has been saying his name a lot lately...as well as "meow". :) In fact, the first thing she said to him when he walked in the door was "meow". He decided not to bring his kitty this time, but that didn't phase her...she was still excited to see her Uncle!!! She's constantly saying "up" to him as she wants to be helped to give him hugs. Too cute!

Replacement Cell Phone

I finally got my phone replacement in the mail this week. For quite some time now...my cell phone has randomly been shutting off. The only way to get it back on is to take out the battery and put it back in. It's a new phone and one that should definitely not have these issues. I'm excited that Verizon sent me a new phone. I'm hoping that I will not encounter this same problem again, as I really enjoy having this particular phone a lot!!

Marbles

Over the holidays, Diana and Josh brought a really fun game for us all to play called "marbles". We played it quite a bit and had a lot of fun!!! If you've never I enjoyed it because it's a strategic sort of game. It's one that I would really like to own at some point. I was looking and was happy to find that ebay has quite a few of them available. I think Scott and I will probably buy one at some point. It would definitely be a fun one to have around.

Karisma

If you're looking to go on a fun family vacation, maybe you should look into Karisma Hotels. They are a collection of resorts along the beaches of the Mexican Riviera Maya. They offer a gourmet inclusive concept which is great for anyone who loves food like I do!! They also have many luxurious accommodations like beach beds, hot tubs, hammocks and so much more! Just talking about it makes me more relaxed. It sounds like the perfect place for anyone wanting to go somewhere warm and have a fun and relaxing vacation with loved ones. If you'd like to learn even more about them you can get the information you're looking for on their website today.

Zoe

While Kaelyn and I were back visiting my parents this week...I had the opportunity to watch Zoe while they were at work. It was fun to see Zoe and Kaelyn interact, especially as Kaelyn gets older. She understands how to "gently" pet Zoe and for the most part they get along very well. I always enjoy having Zoe around. She's a very sweet dog and pretty easy going. She slept most of the day and waited by the window for her "mommy" and "daddy" to get home.

Sweet Hubby

Kaelyn and I are so happy to have Scott home now. He was gone for a whole week on business, which is a long time to be away from him. He was so excited to see us, especially Kaelyn who had really gotten good at walking while he was gone. He surprised me with very pretty flowers, which was super sweet of him. :) He's always very thoughtful. He said he missed his girls a lot and was happy to be home. We're happy to have him home too!

Wedding Supplies

The best place to find wedding supplies that I know of is The Knot Wedding Shop. When I was planning my wedding years ago, I found myself on their site many times! They have high quality supplies like camera, wedding favors, personalized gifts for attendants, cake toppers and SO much more!! I'm sure many people have heard of the Knot, but I didn't know if they were aware they had such a wonderful shop. They are the largest retailer of wedding supplies on the Internet....who wouldn't want to take advantage of such a wonderful option for brides and grooms who are planning their weddings?! Check out their site today and see what you think.

Big Girl

Just after Kaelyn turned one, she began taking a few steps at a time. She did that for a long while, and then just before Christmas she began walking more. Her steps were a little wobbly at that time, but she was making progress and could walk from one end of the room to the other. Over the holidays she became ill and it kind of delayed the progress she was making. Now, a couple of weeks later she's back at it and doing great. This week she began "officially" walking all over the place and today has learned to stand from a sitting position. She hasn't been crawling at all anymore and is a girl on the move. We're so proud of her!!

Paintball

Have you ever paintballed before? I remember doing it when I was younger, but haven't for quite some time. Scott was saying how he thought it would be a fun thing to do sometime, so I got to looking online for fun today. I came across Ultimate Paintball. They offer everything one would need to get started in this exciting sport. They sell brands like Tippmann, Spyder, Smart Parts, Dye and more!! I was very impressed with all their site had to offer, like the paintball sniper, and I think you will be as well.

Freezing outside

Kaelyn and I got home today, only to find that we had two packages waiting for us. After having been gone for several days, I figured we'd have some mail to go through. In one package was a replacement cell phone I got from Verizon since mine has consistently been acting up, and in the other was a bottle of Febreeze for me to review for a their company. Neither of these items should really have been left outdoors...as the phone was FREEZING cold and the Febreeze...well it was frozen as hard as a rock. I guess that's how it goes here in the bitter midwest though.

Reinventing America

With the way our economy is going, as well as the new President who will be stepping into office any day now....many people believe it's a good time to reinvent America!! If you are interested in this topic or want to learn more about this bold initiative to revolutionize America, check out ubercool.com...I site I recently came across all about Reinventing America.

Scott's Home!!

Kaelyn and I sure excited to see Scott pretty soon!! He has been gone for a whole week on business, and we've missed him very much! WE had a good week though...as we went and spent some time with my parents. It was nice to have their company, as well as some help with kaelyn when I needed it as well. I'm thankful they let us come stay with them over this past week...it was sure nice!! Now we're just sitting home waiting for Scott...yeah!!

Beauty Brief

I always enjoy reading information about the latest things in health and beauty. I found beautybrief.com to be a great resource when it comes to these topics. They are a weekly publication offering all kinds of information on fitness, haircare, the South Beach Diet, and more!! It's easy to read which is also a plus! If you have a moment, check it out and see for yourself.

Kaelyn updates....

It has sure been fun having a walking baby. She has been taking steps for quite some time, but to have her walking all around is cute. She's doing very well. She's still working on standing up from a sitting position, but is gradually getting better at that as well. It's fun to see her learning and doing new things. Not only is she walking around a lot more, she's also saying so many new words.

Promises Treatment Centers

Have you noticed that we hear more about people who are choosing to find treatment centers and get their life back on track? I suppose it's because our media does such a great job of covering these kinds of news stories, but one of the treatment centers I know I've heard and read a lot about is the Promises Treatment Centers. They are well known for the treatment they provide for those who are looking for great programs, staff and an experience that will help them heal. There are 12 steps in this center and many different modalities are used including psychiatry, counseling and more!!

In visiting their site to find more information about them, I couldn't help but pass the news along for those that are either looking for themselves or someone else for a quality treatment program and alcoholism rehab. If you have a moment you should definitely check it out. They offer a wealth of information there and have a user friendly site that all can enjoy and use. You will find that it's really easy to find the answers to your questions as well as information you've been looking for.

Police Riding Toy

Kaelyn got this really neat little Police Riding toy for Christmas from my parents. Emry got one too. They are sure cute and the kids really enjoy them. Not only can they ride them, but they have all kinds of noises and sounds too. I was really surprised to find that it actually has a sensor in it that allows the sound to speed up as they go faster and slow down as they go slower. It's really neat and advanced for a kids toy. I was very impressed.

Monaco Rare Coin

In this time of economic struggle, many people are looking into investment opportunities. If this is something you're looking into...check out Monaco rare coin...a company that is part of Monex. Monex is a trusted leader when it comes to the investment of precious metals and has been for 40 years. Monaco is a trusted leader when it comes to offering unique and impressive resources for those who are interested in investing and collecting rare coins. It's definitely something worth looking into and their webiste can offer a wealth of information if you'd like to learn more. Check it out and see what you think today.

Cold Weather

Wow is it cold out. Thankfully Kaelyn and I don't have anywhere to go today, but you can just feel the bitter cold each time the door opens. 13 below zero is pretty cold, even for this time of year. I'm hoping that the sun helps to warm it up about...I'm already tired of winter and it's hardly started yet. It's difficult for Kaelyn and I to go anywhere when it's like this.

Find a Beauty School

There are many people I know who have chosen beauty school as a way to further their education and start on the path that they want for their lives. I've always thought it would be a fun career path as well. If you're someone who's looking for a beauty school, you should check out, FindABeautySchool.com. They make it super easy and fast to find beauty school that are right for you. It's basically an online beauty school directory. You can search by state or zip code which makes it super convenient and fast to use. What's great is you not only get their name, but also the websites to the various schools on there. If you'd like more information and beauty schools in colorado, check out their site today.

Shopping

Today we had a fun day. It started off a bit slow...as Scott had to go meet with a Farmer for work....but then we made our way about an hour from here to do a little shopping with the gift cards we had from Christmas. We had a nice time. Scott ended up getting the golf bag he's been wanting, and I got a great clock for one of our living rooms. Kaelyn was so good too. She enjoys shopping as much as we do. :)

Friday!!

Yeah, it's FRIDAY!!! It's been quite the week getting everything in order here at home after having been gone a week over the holidays, and then nursing Kaelyn back to health. I'm happy to say that starting yesterday she seemed to be completely back to her old self again...so i think this flu/cold and teething thing is finally behind us!! She's up playing, walking around and jabbering away as always! Thank the Lord!! :) It's good to see her up and about, as it was a rough past couple of weeks for her.

Of course Fridays are also great because that means Scott is done with the work week and will be able to spend the weekend with us girls!! Kaelyn and I always look forward to that! I'm not sure what our plans consist of this weekend...probably every day things around the house...but we may also head up to the cities one afternoon as we have some gift cards from Christmas that we'd like to use. Any excuse to go shopping is always welcomed. :) Whatever we do I know it will be great because we'll be able to spend it as a family. That's my idea of a terrific weekend!!

Wedding Flowers

I remember one of the stressful things about planning a wedding was figuring out all the flowers. There are just so many kinds out there, and sometimes they are very expensive. I wish I had known about FiftyFlowers then. I thought I'd pass along their name and information though, for anyone else who might be getting married and could use some direction when it comes to finding affordable flowers. They specialize in wedding flowers for DIY brides, planners and more! Their wholesale flowers are breathtaking and perfect for any wedding. If you'd like to learn more about this company who has specialized in wedding hydrangea for 10 years now....head over to their site today.

Teething is NO fun!

Teething is no fun!! Kaelyn has been getting in quite a few teeth lately, including all four molars. Needless to say, she has been a little sad with the pain of all these teeth pushing through. The first year of a babies life is full of teething, some kids handle it differently than others. For Kaelyn it didn't start out too bad, but with the bigger teeth it's bothered her quite a bit. Both Scott and I look forward to the time when she isn't having the pain of teething...it's so hard to see when there's only so much you can do to help.

HottestProducts.net

Have you ever been online looking for a service or product and can't find whatever it is you're looking for?? I know I have. The Internet is so large and it offers so much, but it can be difficult to use sometimes in a fast way. That's why I thought www.hottestproducts.net was such a neat site. They offer a variety of reviews and ratings for different products and services. It makes it much easier to make decisions about things. For instance, I was recently looking for sites about children potty training and found everything I needed here. Whether it's information on products for Children or those for Dog Training Programs...it's all here and available at the click of a button!

I'm happy that I had the chance to learn more about them and pass the news and site along. If you're like me and like to find things quickly and easily while getting reviews and ratings, then this is a site you'd definitely enjoy checking out. See what you think and check it out today. You'll appreciate their user friendly site and all that they have to offer. I know I'm happy I came across it and I know you will be too!!

Christmas Gifts

I still can't believe the holidays are over and 2009 is here. We still haven't gotten a lot of time at home, so when we are here, we're busy getting things put away. Kaelyn got some really great gifts, and her newly remodeled playroom is the perfect place for most everything. She didn't just get toys though...she also got some great movies and videos. One was from my brother. It's a DVD by Steve Green called "Hide Em' in Your Heart". It is a great video offering many songs for Children about Bible verses. What a great thing for little ears to hear and remember. Kaelyn sure likes it. I think I'd actually like to get the second one now. :)

Selling Cars

Scott and I are throwing around the idea of selling one of our vehicles. We would really like to look into auto insurance first though and see how it would benefit us to sell us. Since we own the vehicle we're not quite sure if it would be worth selling or not?!? We need to talk about it a little more before making a set decision...but I think it's definitely something that could happen. Hopefully there will be someone in need of a descent vehicle that we know if that's the route we take.

Happy Holidays!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years with family and friends. Can you believe it's already 2009 already?? Wow!! I feel like we were just ringing in the year of 2008. Time just flies by! I wish we had been able to ring in the new year this year a little better....many of us in our family were sick and didn't get to enjoy the holidays as much as we would have liked. I suppose that's ok though. Thankfully most of us are feeling better and getting over whatever we had. Now we can enjoy the beginning of a blessed new year!
