Friend Finder

I don't know about you, but I really enjoy meeting new people. I think that it's fun to meet new people and get to know them. Does that sound like you? Would you like to meet people in the comfort of your own home? If so, then you can do so by becoming a member of FriendFinder. This is a new site that free to join, allowing people to meet other people and get to know them. Once you join you can begin to perform searches.

I really like this site because, for one, it's so easy to use!! There aren't any tricks or scams...it's completely free and everything is laid out for you. It doesn't matter if you're used to being on the computer a lot or not, it's very simple to get signed up and to get started meeting people. The biggest thing I liked about this site is that you can meet people from the comfort of your own home, on your own time. We all live busy lives, and sometimes it's hard to get out there after a long day of work and meet new friends. Now it's so easy with Friend Finder. This site stands out from others like it because it's more about finding friends and getting to know them than it is about finding love or a spouse and that's why I would choose to use it over any of the other sites out there.

Does this spark your interest? How would you like to meet new friends online? Sign up for free and see what you think. You have nothing to lose, so get started!! I am being paid for this post.

Still waiting

Well, we're still waiting to hear about our offer on this house. The realtor said it would probably be today, but I guess we just have to give it time and be as patient as possible. If it's supposed to be, it will be. Maybe tomorrow?!?

Confusing...

The weather is confusing me today....I can't tell if it's going to rain, or get sunny and stay warm all day?!? It's really strange. The sun kind of pokes through and gets really bright and warm, and then all of a sudden I look out the window and it looks like it could rain any minute. This is how it's been pretty much all day so far. I'm hoping that it stays fairly nice out, at least for my husband's sake...because he really enjoys work a lot more when it's nice out and he can get some work done.

New Home?!?

I know I keep going on and on about this house hunt on both of my blogs, but I just can't help it!! My husband and I have put a lot of thought and prayer into the decision to go forward with buying a home, and feel it's the right time for us. We have put in an offer and we'll see how that goes. We know that God will work everything out the way it is supposed to go. We're leaving it in His hands from here on out. We are very excited though, and hope that this home ends up ours!!:)

Police Enthusiast

Are you a fan of the Police? I know I am!!! They are one of the greatest bands ever, and will love on and on because their music is so great! They have a new Eyewonder banner which gives you the latest information on this great band. I have included it below because I absolutely love all that it has to offer!! There are many different links you can push to learn more about the Police. You can watch videos, see a track list from the Police Cd and even listen to some of their songs, find out information on their tour dates, enter contests, send the information you find to a friend, and get cool ringtones!! I personally like the jukebox/track list the best because it gives you information on their tracks and actually lets you listen to some of their all time greatest songs!! If you haven't guessed it by now, I am quite the Police fanatic!! I even have their new compilation 2 disc cd. Let me tell you, this is probably one of my favorite cd's and I listen to it all the time!! Get this...when you buy it, it even comes with a vintage poster!! How cool is that?!? It came out on June 5th, so it's ready and waiting for you to buy a copy as well!! So what are you waiting for, get out there and buy it today! You won't be sorry! This is a paid post.

Neat Blogs

I am just amazed at how many blogs there are out there. I mean, blogging has become quite the popular thing, because I find new blogs everyday!! I think blogging is a really neat way for people to tell a little bit about themselves and their interests. They're kind of like keeping a personal diary or something. Many people even enjoy using their blogs to talk about the news or review different products or sites that they think may be of interest to their readers. I know that's what I try to do some on this blog. Anyways...if you're looking for a neat blog, take a look at Bill and Vicky's Blog. This writer really rights about interesting topics and is a blog that I visit often.

Samsung Refrigerators

I had never really thought of it before today, but refrigerators must do an awful lot of work during this hot summer months. They have to work a lot harder than they do in the winter time to keep the food cold. Maybe this explains why some refrigerators start having problems during the summer. A lot of times it seems repair cost more than just replacing refrigerators, so that's what many people end up doing.

If you're on the search for a new refrigerator you may want to check out Krillion Localization Engine. It will search the internet to find the best results for you. This works very well for people who are looking to buy, because it gives you actionable results...giving product information and where you can get it.

So, no more shopping around...go get those Samsung refrigerators you've been wanting today!

Rodeo Drive Plastic Surgery

Have you noticed that more and more people are getting plastic surgery these days?? Well, I don't know about you, but I sure have! The technology and doctors that we have to do such surgeries are quite amazing if you ask me!! We see people getting everything done from their breasts, to their ears, to their tummies! There's even ethnic plastic surgery out there these days! The things one can get done to their body seem absolutely endless in my eyes! Have you ever considered plastic surgery? I know a few people who have, and I'm definitely going to recommend the Rodeo Drive Plastic Surgery Center for them to look into!! Healthy Eating During Pregnancy

It's been so much fun to feel the baby moving more and more these days. I've also been feeling more and more hungry as well. I am trying to eat smaller portions more frequently throughout the day. The doctor said this is the healthiest way to eat while pregnant. She also said really all we need is one extra serving of fruits and veggies a day...that's hard though! As I have a craving for chocolate and the sweet things around my house!:)

Network Cables

The other day my husband was shopping around for network cables. I wasn't quite sure how to help him, because I didn't know where a good place to get them would be?!? Now I know, that the Cable Mega Store has everything he is looking for. I'm going to send him to this site to find the network cables he needs. It's very easy to use and order right online. Not only that, but extremely affordable!

Market Research

I've often thought how fun it would be to find a job in the realm of market research. I think it would be fun to find out what people like, and then give that information to the people who create products so they have an idea of what people want and expect. Don't you think that sounds like a great job? I think it would be even better to get to find out what people like across the world, not just here in the US. I guess you could say I've always been curious about things like this, and think it would be fun to do as a job.

collaboration software

Have you ever heard of Epazz Inc. before? I hadn't until recently, but was pretty impressed with what they have to offer. They are basically a software company that provides different applications to institutions of higher learning. collaboration software is a great way to enhance communication and meet the needs of institutions and businesses everywhere. Are you interested in learning more? Check out their site today.

True Religion Jeans

Jeans are absolutely my favorite piece of clothing to wear, but my least favorite to buy. I always have a hard time finding a brand and a style I like. That is...until now! When you wear these jeans, they real feel like they were made for your body because of the way they fit. Now that's the kind of jeans that I like!!

Mailboxes

Have you ever noticed how Mailboxes sure add to a home? I never really thought about until my husband and I moved into a house from an apartment. I love the mailbox that we have now, but I'd love to add even more personality and uniqueness to our yard with a neat mailbox. Now I know just where to find them too. There is a site that has all kinds of mailboxes to choose from. No matter what your style or taste, you're sure to find something you like. I'm excited to look into them further and possibly buy one very soon.

Dell Memory

I have a Dell computer, and have had it for quite some time. Many times I have thought to myself how nice it would be to have more Dell Memory on it. Do you ever wish that your computer had more memory? If so, then you should check out a great site that I recently came across. I was really happy to find a site that makes it easy for computer users to purchase compatible memory for many popular brands of computer, including Dell, Compaq, Toshiba and many more. They also make it very easy to search for the right memory for your computer. Check them out today and see what you think.

Student Loan Consolidation

There are so many of us out there who need to take out student loans while we're in college. Personally, I was very thankful for the different organizations that loan money to students so that we can get a better education and pursue our dreams. What do you think? I also found that once repayment starts, consolidating your loans can be a very wise choice. It helps so you only have one payment and it can help you with the interest rate on your loan. If you have student loans and would like to learn more about student loan consolidation, please check out Fundamental, a great site I recently came across. They make it easy to save money on your student loans. All you have to do is fill out the online application and your own your way to saving lots of money each month on your payments. Check them out and see what you think.

Busy Day

Today has been a pretty busy day. I have been cleaning the house like crazy and taking care of my hubby. He hasn't been feeling too well today...has a fever and flu like symptoms. So I've been trying to take care of him and nurse him back to feeling better. We have a very busy day tomorrow and he wants to be up to par. He seems to be feeling better now, so I'm happy.

Summer Ecards

Sending ecards has become a very popular thing among most people. It's an easy and convenient way to let those in your life know that they're remembered and thought about. You don't have to hassle with making sure you have stamps and sending out cards days in advance so it gets to the person in a timely manner. I absolutely love sending ecards, especially since I found a great site that lets you Build A Sandcastle and send it as an ecard to anyone you like. You can make it however you like, adding accessories like birds, shells, flags, etc. and you can make it any color or size that you want it as well!! You can go on their site and search through some of the castles people have made, and you'll see that there is not one castle just like another. It's really a great way to send a loved one a summer greeting that's full of cheer! It's such a neat and personal way to let them know you're thinking of them. It was so easy to use....anyone can do it. In fact, I thought it was so easy that I'm sure kids could use it too. They would really enjoy being able to create something so neat and unique. If you're into sending ecards, you definitely need to check this site out today. This is a paid post.

Never enough time

It just seems like there's never enough time in a day. Even though I'm home, I never get done everything that I need to. Between working on the computer and doing things around the house, it's just tough. Today I really need to get out and run some errands, but work is really keeping me busy!! Oh well I guess, there's only so much one person can do.

Pictures on Canvas

I am one of those people who absolutely loves pictures!! I take them all the time, and love to have them all over my house! I think I get it from my mom....as she is a big picture lover herself. She takes even more pictures than I do, and she also has them spread throughout her home. Pictures are just such great ways to make memories last, and what better place to keep them than in your home where you can see them everyday.

Since I like pictures so much, I was SOOO excited when I came a across a site that actually takes your favorite pictures and turns them into canvas art! They basically use photo enlargement and then put your picture on canvas. I'm going to be receiving a 16 x 20 canvas of my favorite photo and I'm SOOO excited!!! I have been telling everyone about this site, and I definitely urge everyone to go and take a look at it when you get the chance! Make those memories last and put them on canvas!

My Parents

So yesterday, my parents gave Scott and I some really great news!! They decided to give us their Grand Am for Scott to use as his work car. We were just thrilled!! :) You see, my parents have always been soooo good about being fair between me and my brothers...which I greatly appreciate! Not enough parents are that way. And, they were going to help each of my brothers out with some things going on in their lives so they decided to make it fair and gives us their extra car!! I can't tell you how happy we are, and how blessed we feel! My parents are the absolute greatest. I don't think I've ever gotten something that meant more to me than that car. They knew how much we would be needing it for Scott's job. They're always so thoughtful! Thanks guys!

New Music Charts

I recently came across a great music website. It's actually Britain's fastest growing new music site out there. On this site there's actually unsigned chart with free music downloads. I really thought this was cool and had a blast browsing through all of the bands and songs. Joining is free, and once you do you can listen to clips of the songs and do other things. It's really easy, so check it out today and get started.

Busy Day

I find myself on the computer much of the way just working away. It seems that lately I have not been getting much done around the house. I think I'm going to have to take the times when I'm not so busy on the computer and use those to power clean. Sometimes there's just not enough time in a day to get everything done. I thought it would be easier once I was home and not working out of the house, but I was wrong!

VoIP Products and Services

I'm sure many of you have heard of VoIP before, but have you heard of their Virtual Office? It's the absolute best business VoIP phone system out there! The best part is that it's very affordable too!! It allows for local and long distance calling, as well as having powerful hosted PBX calling features!! When it comes to the business voip service, I found that they offer very competitive pricing on all of their features. Overhead paging does not cost a thing for instance. And, virtual attendant is only 14.99. The same goes for the residential VoIP service. I found this to be just as affordable, and offer just as many wonderful features....prices ranging from free-$199. Check them out today and see what you think. This is a paid post.

Really good opps...

I am just loving PPP lately! I have not had a slow day in quite some time!! They always seem to have posts whenever I get online and look which is so nice. Now that my hubby and I are expecting a baby and looking to buy a new house....the extra income is nice to have coming in! I'm just hoping that PPP keeps it up and that I continue to get all of these posts everyday.

Celebrate Reno 911!

Whether you saw Reno 911! Miami The Movie yet or not, you definitely have to get the unrated DVD that was released. It's so funny and is a great movie to add to your DVD collection. Are you kind of curious as to what the movie is about? Well, I don't want to give a lot of it away, but basically it's about these officers of the Reno police Department who are at a national police convention in Miami. They have to do their thing when the convention is under attack by terrorists, and it is simply hilarious!!

I recently went to their site and found that they had a number of fun and interactive games to play right there online. I have tried them all, but my favorite was probably the first one that I tried, called "Calling all Units". I chose this because I thought it would be fun to drive around a police car...though I didn't realize how hard it would be, that's for sure! I found this game to be very fun, but frustrating at times too...because I could not get that car to drive where I wanted it to for the life of me. Even though I was a lousy driver, I had a great time playing it. It's actually pretty addicting. My ending Salary was 116,600 dollars. I cost the city 74,000 dollars though, Yikes!! My busin bonus was 2000 dollars which I was happy with I guess. I think with more practice I will get a little bit better. It's touch though...wow!

Check out this site and see what games you like best. Also check out the new release of Reno 911! Miami The Movie. This is a paid post.

Leftovers

I've been trying to figure out what I should do for lunch, but nothing really sounds good. I have leftovers in the fridge and lots in the cupboards, but still...nothing. When Scott is at work I don't feel like making a big meal for lunch...but I get so hungry that I need to eat something. I guess I'm going to have to go digging and see what I can find. Probably will just end up eating leftovers.

Celebrity Gossip

Now that I stay home and don't work out of the house, I find that I hear some of the latest gossip about the celebrities in hollywood on television. Although this is nice, I don't watch television a whole lot, as I always find myself busy doing other things around the house. I have always thought how nice it would be to go to a place online where I can find all of the celebrity gossip going on. Have you ever wanted something like this as well? If so, then you're in luck. There is now a site that offers all of the latest hollywood gossip. It's really a neat site that I plan on visiting often. You even have the opportunity to vote on the gossip and leave comments. Check out this new site today and see what you think. This is a paid post.

Cheap Pens

My husband really enjoys having unique pens. I know it sounds funny, but having all kinds of pens is just one of the things he likes. He uses them at work, so although unique, he also wants them to be sturdy. He tends to lose a lot of pens, so we don't like to spend a lot of money on the ones we get him. No I know of a great site where we can get him really great, cheap pens!! Pensrus.com offers all kinds of cool pens at great prices. You can even have something printed on them to personalize them if you like. Maybe that's something my husband should do in case he loses anymore?!? Do you like pens?? Would you like to get a whole lot of them at great prices? If so, then check this site out today.

What a great Anniversary

My husband is the greatest!! Yesterday it was our anniversary and he said he had a surprise for me. He got off work early and came home with roses and a super sweet card. His surprise was to take me out on the pontoon on the lake and pack us a picnic...he had the picnic basket and everything. Unfortunately the weather was not cooperating and it was raining much of the day. Since we could not do plan A, he decided to ask a coworker where the closest Olive Garden is (my favorite restaurant). He found out that it was about an hour away so he took me there and we had a great time!! I couldn't have asked for a better anniversary.

PPP

Wow, I just keep getting one post after another on PPP today!! It's so nice when I get a day where I make lots of money, because then there are other days that aren't so good and pretty slow. I hope that everyone out there is benefiting from all of these opps...good luck!

Pet Insurance

Well, I don't have a pet of my own, but my parents have a dog, Zoe who our whole family absolutely loves!! She is the best dog in the world. Unfortunately, Zoe is a type of breed that has allergies really bad and also one that develops different skin conditions rather easily. I know that vet visits can be quite spendy for my parents, and that's why I'm excited to share with them the good news of PetCare pet insurance. People in North American spend over 10 billion dollars a year on medical bills for their pets!! Since most pets receive some type of vet assistance through the year, some being more serious than others and costing their owners lots of money...it's important to consider pet insurance. It can save you so much money. In 2006, PetCare Pet Insurance paid $16,800,000 in North America to pet owners. That shows you how useful pet insurance can be! Are you ready to start being able to concentrate on your pet's health and not so much on how much it will cost?? If so, take a look at this company today. This is a paid post.

Father's Day

I had such a great weekend!! I always love Mother's and Father's Day because we get to spend time with our parents and let them know how much they mean to us!! It was nice because my dad absolutely loves to golf...so he went golfing with Scott and my brother, Jacob!! They really had a nice time...they even golfed in the rain some which didn't seem to phase them a bit!! I'm glad we all had such a great weekend together!!

Maternity Savings

Being pregnant is a very exciting time, but with it comes many changes and things that my husband and I have to face. One of these things is making sure we have Maternity Health Insurance. If you don't have it through a current job, it can be very difficult to get and very expensive!! That's where MaternitySavings can help!! They can make it possible for you to make the best decisions about the costs that come along with having a baby. I found this site to be very helpful and informative about Maternity health insurance, and I know you will too. Check it out today. This is a paid post.

What's for lunch?

I had a pretty bad headache for much of the day yesterday, and my husband was kind enough to go and get the groceries for me last night. Now we have all this food in the house, and I thought that would make it easier to decide what to have for lunch...but I still don't know what to eat. I guess I'm going to have to go hunt through the cupboards and fridge to find something that sounds appetizing.

Bathroom Vanities

My husband and I are currently looking for a new home...and one of the new homes we're looking at really needs an updated bathroom. In fact, one of the first things I told him when I saw it was that it needed a new vanity!! It was really old and just does not fit in with the rest of the home. I was happy to come across a site that had all kind of bathroom vanities available if we end up buying this home. The vanities are just beautiful!! I also felt that their prices were quite reasonable...so I will definitely be checking them out when we move.

Online University

In case you didn't know, Capella University is an accredited online university that offers a number graduate degree programs like business information technology, education, human services, and psychology, and many undergraduate degrees in business and information technology. They serve more than 17,000 students across the globe which I also think is quite amazing!! Tammy Alexander is actually a master's degree student at the University and was recently awarded the FBI Director's Community Leadership Award, one that recognizes the achievements of people who are involved in community crime prevention and is given to one person each year. Are you interested in learning more about this great school? If so, check out their site and see what you think.

Finding Clothes

I have found that being pregnant, it's really difficult sometimes to find clothes that fit nicely. My normal clothes are getting to be too tight, and the maternity clothes are too big sometimes. We're going to a wedding this weekend, and i didn't know what I was going to wear, until I came across this cute summer dress. It actually isn't maternity, but it does have the empire waste look...so I tried it on just for fun and love it. I guess just because you're pregnant doesn't mean you can't still dress cute.:)

PDF Format

Moving files through e-mail or online can be quite tricky. That's why it's important to remember that your files are readable and converted to PDF format. This is important because not everyone has the same software to view whatever it is your sending. If you can convert everything to PDF, it's much easier for people to surely be able to see whatever it is your sending them. When you convert something to PDF, have no fear...everything will appear the exact same as it did on the program you created it in, for instance Word. The best thing is that PDF Converter Software is free of charge and on most computers. Make viewing and printing things from the internet easier with PDF Format. This is a paid post.

Almost July??

Can you believe we're already halfway through June?? Gosh, where does the time go?? It seems like just yesterday there was still snow on the ground and it was March!! Time just flies when you're busy all the time I guess. I wish it would slow down a little bit though...it seems like here in the midwest we don't get enough months where the weather is pleasant. I want to be able to enjoy these few months when I can walk outside without bundling up in 5 layers!

Paint Your Life

I came across the neatest site today that I wanted to share with everyone. PaintYourLife is a site that actually creates museum quality painting from photos. They are the leader in this type of work, and it's amazing!! Their work is 100% handmade by painters. You may think something like this would cost a fortune...but it's actually quite affordable and quick too! You can have your pic within 10 days. So next time you're looking for a great gift, even if it's getting close to the day you need it, check into PaintYourLife and bring a photo to art! I know I will! This is a paid post.

Mosquitoes

I know that it is summer time now and that mosquitoes come out every year around this same time, but has anyone else noticed them being extra bad this year??? Last year I hardly remember seeing a mosquito and this year I can barely walk out to my mailbox with being attacked by them. Our town was supposed to start spraying for them a couple weeks ago...but if they have been doing that, then it's obviously not working. I sure love summer, but I could do without the pesky mosquitoes!!

Baby Moving

As my pregnancy goes on I've really enjoyed feeling the baby move and kick more and more. It's just so much fun. My husband was actually really excited because he got to feel the baby move last Friday. He hadn't been able to feel the baby move before that, so it was a pretty neat experience for him. I can't wait until I start feeling the baby even more...I just love it!! I think it's one of my favorite things about being pregnant.

I used to have all of these favorite television shows that I watched a couple nights during the week, but now most of them have had their season finales and I'm lost for what to watch when i get a free minute at night. I guess I'll just have to watch reruns when I'm in the mood to watch something. It's always nice to have shows to watch a couple times during the week...especially when Scott likes them too so we have that to do together at night when he gets home from work.:) I'm looking forward to the new season to start in the fall for all my favorite shows.

Reno 911! Miami

Are you familiar with the movie, Reno 911 Miami?? Well I am, and I'm excited that I get to post about it. I am really excited about the Reno 911 Miami unrated dvd release, and especially love one of the scenes in it. My favorite scene is the one where the police officers are waiting for their commanding officer and he comes flying in on his motorcycle and crashes. This is my favorite scene because even though you think that the scene is really going on and that they have a job to do, it turns out that it's just one of the officers dreaming....dreaming while he's driving and on duty that is. He ends up realizing that he's dreaming while he's dreaming a little bit too late and runs into a porta potty. I liked it because you don't actually realize what's going on until the end of the clip, and it's really funny too!! It was hard to choose just one scene that is my favorite, as they are all good, but this one topped them all in my opinion. If you like Reno 911! Miami The Movie then you should definitely check out this clip and others to see which is your favorite. This is a paid post.

Furniture

Ever since Scott and I moved into our new home, we've been getting furniture for the rooms that we still needed to situate. It's so much fun buying furniture, but it can be stressful too if you're having a hard time finding the perfect piece of furniture that you're looking for. Another thing that usually comes into play is the budget and finding something that you can afford. Since we don't have a lot of furniture stores around us, I find myself surfing the web often. I recently came across a great site, a north carolina furniture store. They offer a variety of pieces of furniture at reasonable prices which is exactly what we look for when searching for furniture for our home. The next time we consider buying more furniture, we'll definitely check this site out again.

I was so excited to hear that this is going to be one of the many great songs on the new police cd. It's just such an enjoyable song, with great lyrics that are easy to sing to. They just have such unique music, and I feel that it's so unique that it's probably influenced other bands to try and become more unique in their own music as well. Spooky Story

Although I like a good movie, one that keeps me interested and on the edge of my seat, I've never been big into the really scary horror type movies. I've seen some, but they usually don't sit well with me. Scary stories are the same way. Even though I know they're just stories, the simplest of scary stories gets to me. One of the scariest stories I think I've heard is about a babysitter. I'm not sure if I heard this story from someone, or read it in a book at some point, but the story must have been scary to me, and quite unpleasant, because it really stuck with me. As I said, the spooky story that comes to mind is about a young teenage girl whose parents when out and left her home to babysit her younger sister. She put her sister to bed pretty early, as these were the rules set by her parents. Once her sister was in bed, she watched some television to pass the time. After she watched one of her favorite shows, she turned off the television and began to gaze out the window at the beautiful winter night. As she watched the snow fall, she noticed that there was a man walking toward the glass from outside in her yard. When he started to pull something that appeared to be a knife out of his pocket, she quickly hid herself under her blanket that she was curled up in. After about 5 minutes she came out from under the blanket, realized the strange man was gone, and called 911 so they could come over and investigate this mysterious event that she had observed. When the police arrived at her home, they searched her yard where she had seen the man, but found no footprints or weapons of any kind. It wasn't until the police officers came into the home that they found something pretty scary. They found wet footprints leading up to the chair where the girl was sitting. Turns out this girl was very lucky, because the man she saw starring at her through the glass was not outside, but standing right behind her. She was looking at his reflection in the window. Although to some this may not seem like a very scary story, it really creeped me out. I think mainly because it was something that could really happen. When stories aren't far fetched and realistic, it makes them that much more scary in my opinion.

This story was very scary to me, but the 1408 Movie coming out by Stephen King is going to be even more scary. It's a story about a man who is looking to learn more about the afterlife after his daughter died. During his search, he comes in contact with some pretty unusual and scary spirits of the supernatural world, when he stays in motel room 1408. From what I've read and seen so far, this is going to be quite the thriller for all of you who really like a good scare!! I imagine it will probably become someone's new scariest story ever heard.

Watch the video clip below to learn more about the 1408 Movie and see if it's one you might be interested in seeing. This is a paid post.

Blogging

I've only been blogging since August of last year, but can't get over how much I enjoy it. In fact, sometimes I wonder why I didn't blog a long time ago. Having a blog gives me the chance to personalize a site and talk about things that are important to me. It's a way to talk about my life and beliefs, as well as review things that are happening in the world. I think it's fun to go back and read some of the things I wrote about over the past few months, and know that the longer I have this blog open, the more fun it will be to read some of my older posts. What a great way to document and journal about life in general!

Stephen King

When it comes to horror films, I would have to say that I am not that fond. I don't like the movies that are so incredibly scary and gory that they actually leave you feeling kind of yucky when you're done watching them. I know that there are some people out there who absolutely love these kind of movies, but they're really not for me. The one thing though that I would say I do appreciate about horror films is that they're very intense and usually have you on the edge or your seat wondering what will happen next. This is something I enjoy, and an aspect I like all movies to have. It's what keeps you interested and intrigued. I must say that Stephen King is very good at doing this in his stories. He is a very good author, and I especially enjoyed the movies The Green Mile and Shawshank Redemption which were written by him. I think the reason that I these films were my favorite is because they weren't too scary or gory. They each had very good story lines and kept my attention without all the scary stuff. In fact, these are movies that can be watched over and over again, which is another thing I really like about them.

From what I've read and heard, Stephen King has another movie coming out, the 1408 Movie. It's about a man who is desperately trying learn more about the afterlife after his daughter dies. He wants to learn about the supernatural so much, that he actually stays in a motel room, number 1408, rumored to have supernatural activity going on. In fact, there have been many deaths in this motel room due to supposed supernatural events. It turns out that John Cusack, the man wanting to learn more, does encounter some supernatural and unusual events during his stay, leaving him in quite the scary situation. I found the video clip that I watched to be quite intense and definitely had me interested in this movie. It will definitely be a thriller for all who see it.

If you want to learn more about the 1408 Movie, and see if it's one that you would watch, check out the video today. This is a paid post.

Bought a Scale

Today when I was in Walmart, I decided to finally buy a scale so that I can start weighing myself. Throughout my entire pregnancy so far, I have had no idea how much I weigh, or how much I'm gaining. I go to the doctor about once a month, but I'd like to keep a closer watch on my weight gain for my own personal knowledge. I don't know why it took me so long to just buy one...it was like 6 dollars. :) Now I will be able to track my weight gain and now how much I have gained at the end of the pregnancy.

Thoughts on the Supernatural

Although my husband and I don't get to a lot of movies these days, I am always interested in learning about the ones that are coming out soon. Usually we end up renting movies after they come out on DVD, unless they really catch our attention and make us want to see them! One movie that I recently came across really did catch my, mainly because even the quick preview of the movie's storyline had me on the edge of my seat. The 1408 Movie, by Stephen King, is a movie about a man who is interested in learning more about the afterlife after he loses his daughter. He's never had any encounters with the supernatural, and isn't sure what to believe, that is, until he stays in motel room 1408. There have been a number of deaths in this room, and it is believed to have been due to bad supernatural events happening in it, connecting these deaths to that of the unknown. John Cusack, the father who's set on learning more, decides to stay in this room. During his stay he experiences and sees many different unusual things. It seems to be a very intense movie, one that I would most definitely need my husband there to hold onto if we went to see it!

As far as my beliefs go, I definitely believe in the supernatural. I believe that there are good and bad sides to the supernatural and unknown world. God is definitely part of the supernatural world! He is the absolute good, the person who cares for everyone in this world and would not in anyway want to scare or harm them like the ghostly characters in this movie. I believe the supernatural characters in this movie are the bad, or evil spirits that are very real as well. I never have had an encounter with the supernatural, and if I do, it will be the good...as I do not believe that the evil spirits among us can harm me!

Being Pregnant

In the house that we're renting there was no Carbon Monoxide detector. Although I know that our home is fine, it gives me piece of mind to have one, much like having a smoke detector. I definitely think more things like that come to mind because I'm pregnant...I'm constantly thinking of the health and well being of our baby. I guess it's just the motherly instinct that I've already begun to show...which is a good thing. Mother's want to care for, and protect their children and I want to do that, even before my child is born. That's why I decided to go out and get a Carbon Monoxide Alarm, so that the environment that I'm living in is as safe as possible.

Football Tickets

I don't know about you other wives out there, but my husband is a complete football fanatic!! When it is football season, I pretty much know where to find him when a game is on...in the living room in front of the television! Although he does have favorite teams, he watches almost every game that's aired. I for one am not a huge football fan, but think it would be fun to surprise him with tickets to a game sometime. Maybe I should get some Pittsburgh steelers tickets?! I really think he'd enjoy that!! I know I could find great tickets at GreatSeats.com. You should check it out and surprise the football fan in your life.

Luggage Source

My husband and I found that buying luggage can be more difficult than it may seem. Many people register for luggage for their weddings, but few actually get the luggage, so we opted not to do this. Then after we had been married a couple years we began thinking how nice it would be to have our luggage set, so didn't have to use other people's every time we went somewhere. As we looked around, it was difficult to find luggage in our price range and of good quality. Thankfully, my father-in-law was kind enough to by us some very nice, and good quality luggage for C-mas one year. Although I love it, if I were to look into buying more luggage for myself or someone else, I would definitely check out the Luggage Source online. They offer a huge variety of luggage, having something for everyone no matter what the occasion or budget. I am going to share this site with anyone I know who is looking for reasonably priced, and good quality luggage.

Capella University

In case you have never heard of Capella University, it is a fully accredited online university. There are actually 17,000 students currently!! I thought that was pretty amazing. On the Inside Online Education podcast, there is an interview with Dr. Carla Thomas, who is wanting to get her PhD in healthcare administration through the university. She would like to become a U.S. Surgeon General when she's finished. These podcasts not only feature people like Dr. Thomas, but also students, faculty and staff who are more than willing all their own personal experiences at this online university. If you're interested in learning more about Capella, check out the podcasts on their site, capella.edu.

Business Directory

Have you ever heard of AtList.org? I hadn't until recently, but wanted to share this site with everyone because I found it to be very interesting and useful for many people. They are actually the largest nationwide directory out there. After reviewing this site I came to realize how beneficial it is for businesses to reach customers by becoming a part of this directory. People will also find this site very useful, as it helps them gain a better understanding of different businesses through the information and reviews available to them on this Local business directory. If you'd like to learn more, simply check out there site today. This is a paid post.

Dogsitting

Once in a while we watch my parents dog, especially if they are out of town. This week I was gonna take Zoe just for fun, because love having her around! She's a Bichon Frise and such a good dog. I was thinking we'd maybe watch her this week, but then remembered that it's her birthday tomorrow. My parents have a tradition on Zoe's birthday...they give her a cupcake and take lots of pictures. I thought she better be home for that, so maybe we'll watch her another week.:)

Radar Detectors

When I was in high school it seemed that everyone had radar detectors. I never got a radar detector back then, and still don't have one to this day, but I do know how popular they are...especially among the young people. In fact, they are so popular that there is actually a site with a variety of radar detectors that people can buy. This site not only offers radar detectors, but also information about them such as their legality, how to use them, etc. If you're interested in learning more about radar detectors and finding one for your vehicle, check this site out today.

Florida Rental Vacation

One of my all time favorite vacation spots is Orlando Florida! They have so much to do, for adults and children alike. Orlando, Florida is somewhere my husband has never been...and I would love to surprise him with a vacation there someday. Once we have kids and they are a bit older...I could see us planning a very nice family vacation there. In planning this vacation, I'm going to have to keep in mind a site that I came across recently, all about Florida rental vacation homes in Orlando. They have information on all kinds of offers that my family and I would be interested in when we finally make it down there.
