Yuck!

I'm so happy to be feeling a little bit better. I have been fighting the stomach flu, along with my entire family and it has not been fun! What a way to spend the holidays. Kaelyn is coming down with something as well...and I hope she doesn't get it as bad as me. I have heard many people talking about the flu and how they're getting it as well. Hopefully it's just a 24 hour bug that leaves our home quickly!

Convenience of the Internet

I have found the internet so convenient for a variety of things. Sometimes I wonder what we did without the internet. Before I was in High School...I don't remember hardly ever using a computer. And when I did...it was for typing a paper in school. Now almost everyone has a computer in their home and we can use it to shop, to stay in touch with people....even to find things like a Seattle injury lawyer or information on different services out there. It's something I'm very thankful for.

Fun Day!!

I really shouldn't be sitting here on the computer as I have quite a bit to do before my brother and his family get here....but I need to take a break. Yesterday we were gone all day and I hadn't even had the chance to check my mail or catch up on work online. Today I have to get some cleaning done before my family gets here. It should be a really fun day!! I'm looking forward to getting our little nephew and Kaelyn together.

Do you have a wish??

Have you been to sitonsantaslap.com yet? If not, you should really check it out. I happened to come across their site and did the Sit on Santas Lap Experience. It was very entertaining and fun!! To participate you must be 18 years old, submit a photo of yourself and be a resident of the US. I decided to upload a picture of myself from last Christmas. It was the only picture I had of just me. I then had the opportunity to "tell" santa what I would like for Christmas. If you've got a wish....this is definitely a fun thing to take part in.

What's great is that I not only got a chance to participate in this fun experience, but I had the opportunity to learn more about the CEIVA Digital Photo Frame. Have you ever seen or heard of it before. It's unlike any other digital photo frame I've seen. It's unique in the fact that you can actually transfer things from phone or optional wi fi and it has an 8 inch screen. It's very attractive looking and is reasonably priced. It would make a perfect gift for Christmas!! I know I'd sure like it!!

There is a contest going on as well. Taking part in this experience you can be entered to win a cash prize. Each day of the contest 1 person will be randomly selected and will win 500 dollars each. If you'd like to learn more, check out their site today!

Walking Baby

Yesterday was a pretty exciting day for us. Kaelyn has been taking steps for over a month now...however this week...and especially last night....she really began to show increased balance and desire to walk. She was taking between 10 and 15 steps and is definitely walking now more than she is crawling. Her balance is getting so much better....and she was actually bending down and picking things up too. We were very excited! She's 13 months and officially has begun to walk some. What a big milestone this is!

Get Help With Debt

Debt is something many of us have either dealt with before, or are currently dealing with given teh current economic situation we are in. Having too much debt can be overwhelming and can really cause a lot of stress and problems. Having debt not only means you have money to pay back and that which is probably continually growing, but also have the effects on your credit and ability to get loans and other things. It's very important to deal with debt as quickly as possible and to do so with a company whom you trust.

Since this is something that many people are probably dealing with at the moment, I thought it would be beneficial to pass along a site I recently came across http://www.cleardebt.co.uk/, whose services will be able to help. If you're looking to cut debt, Avoid Bankruptcy, freeze the interest that you're paying, and start heading towards being debt free and getting your life back...this is definitely a site you want to check out. Head over there today and see what you think...you won't be sorry you did! Their site is very user friendly and easy to navigate.

Christmas

I can't believe that Christmas Eve is tomorrow already! It hardly seems possible. Where does the time go?? I'm excited though. Scott gets off work at noon...and then we're going to have our family Christmas that evening. After that over the next week or so we have 6 different Christmas'. I'm excited to see all of our family members during this time. It should be a great time. I'm sure it will go by far too quickly.

NetDebt

Now is a time when there are many people dealing with debt. It's a tough time with our economy and it's important to know where we can turn. It's sure not easy living with debt, and it's nice to know that there are people out there who want to help us get back on our feet. I recently came across NetDebt which I would strongly urge people to check out for themselves. They offer the only completely online enrollment solution. They have truly changed the debt industry with the creation of their site and that's why I felt it so important to pass the information along.

If you're tired of all debt help making you take part in embarrassing and drawn out counseling that digs in to all of your personal issues....then trust me, you definitely want to look into NetDebt today!! They are a debt program that does not require this which is a breath of fresh air compared to many other programs out there! The great thing, and in my opinion something that's comforting to know is that they always do have live reps available for you to talk with if you need them. It is on your terms though and they only want to help!!

Check out their very user friendly site if you'd like to learn more abou them! If you have questions, check out their Debt Consolidation FAQ. You wont' be sorry you did!

Kaelyn Dancing

There's nothing better than watching a baby dance!! It started out when Kaelyn was quite young...she'd bob her head and get all excited when she'd hear music of any kind. Now, she's older and has started to stand out in the middle of the room, bobbing her head, turning her hips and bouncing her legs to all kinds of music....a tune she hears on the TV, the songs her toys play, etc. It's pretty adorable if you ask me!! :) No matter what kind of day I'm having...I always enjoy Kaelyn's dancing. She can bring a smile to my face in an instant...what a joy she is! I happened to capture her dancing last night as she played with a "Guitar Hero" toy from the cereal box. Isn't it something that something as simple as a cheap toy from Kellogg could provide endless fun for a one year old??! :)

Police Gear

Every wonder where you can find some great police gear? I know I have. Well...for a great selection of everything from Surefire flashlights to boots....the lapolicegear.com site has it all! I was amazed with the large variety of products they offer and their outstanding prices. Not only that, but everyone will appreciate their user friendly site as it makes it easy for you to find exactly what it is you're looking for. If you'd like to learn more about the police gear offered here...check out their site today!

Winter weather

Waking up this morning to find no snow falling is a relief. They say we're supposed to get quite the storm today, and I was hoping that it holds off...at least until this afternoon once Scott is home from work. He works such a distance from home that it would be nice if he didn't have to fight the storm. Once again it definitely seems like winter is finally here. I just hope it cooperates next week with the holidays.

New Patio Doros

Scott and I were recently discussing how nice it would be to get a new patio door. We have french patio doors that go out into our three season porch and they're very nice...however, with the bitter cold we've been having we definitely see that we need to find something with a better seal and better quality. Looking around, we came across masonite.com and were very impressed with their line of patio doors!! What's great is that they're not only great quality, but they look so beautiful! It would be a wonderful addition to our home and I'm just so excited we stumbled upon them.

If you're in the market for new patio doors, you should definitely head over to this great site like we did! I'm telling you, you won't be sorry you did!! You can even download their patio doors brochure which is sure to help you pick out the best door for you. It's a very user friendly site and one that's incredibly easy to navigate. You won't have any problem finding exactly what it is you're looking for with the click of a button. What better way to shop then from the comfort of your own home. That's my kind of shopping! Check it out today and see what you think.

Tired

For some reason today I'm feeling like I definitely did not get enough sleep last night. That makes for a rough beginning to my day. I wish there were more time while Kaelyn naps to sleep a little bit, but that is my only time during the day when I really have the chance to get a lot of things done....cleaning, laundry, etc. Oh well...I'll just make sure to go to bed a bit earlier tonight. Kaelyn goes to sleep at 8, so anytime after that we can go to bed. I also think it would help if we didn't get people calling at 4:30 in the morning and then realizing they have the wrong number....

Wedding Channel

Planning a wedding can be quite stressful. Wouldn't you agree? That's why it's important to take any help that you can find. I recently came across WeddingChannel.com and wanted to pass it along for those who may be planning a wedding of their own. They offer a very user friendly site for those planning a wedding and wanting to make a little less stressful. With the planning tools, advice, photos, vendor guide, registry and more....you won't be sorry!! It really helps to give you Wedding Ideas and helps you to save that gold bullion of yours by giving useful tips. Head over there today and see what you think.

Good Exercise

We got a Wii today and absolutely love it! Now there's no need for weight loss pills, that's for sure. It's definitely a work out!! I can't believe how sore I am tonight. It's amazing how a little golf, tennis, and bowling can really make you feel like you just ran a mile. I always knew that it would be a lot of fun, but I had no idea how much of an exercise routine it would be. WOW!! Scott really thought so too. We're looking forward to playing it more and more....maybe with time it won't take such a toll on us.

Relaxing

It's sure nice to have the chance to just relax tonight. Scott and I were busy today and we're both ready for bed already. It's not often that we get a night to just relax so we're going to enjoy it. :) Tomorrow is already the start of a busy work week and we both would like to get rested. It seems like the weeks have been going by fairly slowly lately, so I'm really looking forward to the next weekend again. Hopefully it comes soon!

PayingPost.com

Are you a stay at home mom, or simply someone who could use more money??? If so, then you and I can relate. I stay home with our little girl, yet wanted a way to earn a little extra income each month as well. I wasn't sure what I was going to do to achieve this until I came across blogging for money! If you've never tried it, you definitely need to!! Advertising on blogs helps to benefit the blogger, as well as the advertiser. The advertisers site or products are being marketed, while the blogger learns more about the services out there as well as makes a decent income at the same time. The great thing about blog marketing is that you're not out any money. You get to use the blog that you already use for personal use so there's not need to do anything but blog about the things you love and those that interest your readers. It doesn't get any easier than that now, does it?!!

There are many options out there, but there are some that are not as good as others. Recently I began working with PayingPost.com and am very impressed. They have a new layout which is very user friendly and attractive. Their system is easy to navigate and use. I enjoy the fact that they have interesting topics to blog about and give you the freedom to discuss your reactions of sites and products in such an honest way.

If blogging for money is something you think you may be interested in, I strongly urge you to head over to their site and learn more about getting your blog signed up, submitting it and getting it approved approved, and all there is to know about starting to take posts. You'll see how easy it is to do and how much extra money you will have rolling in within a short amount of time!

The Weekend

Well...once again I sit here and can't believe that it's already Sunday night. The weekends fly by so quickly. WOW! I sure wish the weeks would go by as fast as this...that would sure be nice. We have such a fun time when Scott can be home with us...Kaelyn and I just love it. :) I'm very thankful for the job he has though, and the decent hours he has. We at least get to see him in the evenings during the week which is much appreciated.

Pickard Properties No. 1

It's every landlord's dream to do their job well and be recognized for it!! This is exactly what happened to the student landlord in Leeds, UK. Through a Leeds University Union Survey, students voted, Pickard did very well when it came to being a great landlord. After working for many years this was quite special. Pickard not only wants to give their student tenants benefits, but also wants to do something for the environment. That's why they are going to offer rents that are inclusive of bills but the difference between them and other landlords is that they are going green by using 100% renewable energy resource for utilities so both students and the environment benefit. I thought this was wonderful! They also ensure that students understand what a good property is by keeping up the properties they let. Other student accommodation in leeds include things like burgler alarms, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, gas central heating, washing machines, microwaves, furniture, and more!! What a nice lifestyle it would be to live in a property like this! Check it out on their site if you'd like to learn more.

Needing Rest

For some reason today I'm feeling like I definitely did not get enough sleep last night. That makes for a rough beginning to my day. I wish there were more time while Kaelyn naps to sleep a little bit, but that is my only time during the day when I really have the chance to get a lot of things done....cleaning, laundry, etc. Oh well...I'll just make sure to go to bed a bit earlier tonight. Kaelyn goes to sleep at 8, so anytime after that we can go to bed.

Long Lines

Have you ever been at the bank and there's a long line of people there waiting to see a teller? Well...I was recently in this situation and had Kaelyn with me. I finally got to the front where I was being helped, but then didn't realize there was an exit sign to the right, and instead walked back out the way I came. It was a little hectic and embarrassing. I guess I will remember next time though, especially when there's that many people waiting.

The Reason for the Season

It's hard to believe that Christmas is just around the corner! While there is always a lot to do this time of year, may we remember that we are getting ready to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior...Jesus Christ!! With the busyness of the season...shopping, family get-togethers, Christmas parties, etc...... it's often easy to get caught up in everything and forget what Christmas is truly all about!! It's so important that we all remember that Christmas is about our Lord Jesus Christ and all He has done for you and me! Thank you Father for sending your Son for us!! I encourage everyone to remember the Reason for the Season and to put the Lord first in your life today and every other day of the year! He is what this season, and this life are all about. May we live for Him each and every day of our lives. Thank you Lord!

I thought this was such a sweet song by the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir called Happy Birthday Jesus, that I just had to share it!! I'm sure many have heard it, as it's on the radio a lot lately. It's so incredibly touching and serves as a reminder to us all that Jesus is the Reason for the Season.

The Christmas lights are synchronized with the song

Quality Eyeglasses

Many of us have been effected by the struggling economy. It effects everything from what we buy at the store, to how often we venture out in our car. I think even the small areas of our lives have been effected. I for one was sitting reading last night and realized how badly I need new glasses. My prescription is not right and I would like something that I could wear which didn't give me a headache after 5 minutes!! Money though...keeps me from going to get them...until now that is! I found Optical4Less.com today and am so happy I did. They offer high quality prescription eyeglasses with prices as low as 15 dollars! Can you believe that?? Wow! I don't think I'll ever buy eyeglasses anywhere else seeing the selection and prices they have here! You can't beat Optical4Less.com, that's for sure! Check it out for yourself and see what you think. Whether it's tinted sunglasses, bifocal reading glasses or even the progressive reading eyeglasses....they have it all right here on this very user friendly website. I don't know why anyone would ever buy eye glasses anywhere else when there are cheap deals as great as this with a click of a button!

What are you waiting for??!!

As a stay at home mom I obviously enjoy any thing I can do to make a little extra income each month. I wouldn't have to, but it's nice to make things more comfortable for us by bringing in a little extra cash. I have found a great way to do this through blogging for money. Many people I have talked to about this, who know nothing about it only have negative things to say. They either say it's "too good to be true" or that it sounds boring. I have to say that they're missing out! If you blog about things that interest you, and you're able to make money while doing it...in my opinion that's a great job! I feel truly blessed to have this opportunity.

Prison Inmate Locator

Have you ever wondered where it is possible to access inmate records or inmate license records?? If so, you may want to check into the Prison Inmate Locator. I thought it was very interesting that you could locate nationwide federal inmate reports quickly with direct data retrieval. I suggest if you're interested in learning more, you should check out this site and all the information they have to offer.

Snow

Wow did the weather get nasty last night. We went to bed and knew the snow was falling, but had no idea we'd wake up to find 6 inches on the ground. Poor Scott had to go out and shovel snow and then head to work. I'm glad he at least has a more flexible schedule this year as it makes it easier to go to work a little later if the weather does not cooperate. Hopefully he'll be home a little earlier today too....the snow is still blowing and drifting in places.

House Hunting

Scott and I have been looking at homes lately. We're not putting ours on the market yet, but when we do, we'll obviously be looking for another house closer to his job. In looking for homes we have certain things that we'd like it to have. A certain number of rooms, a certain number of bathrooms, outdoor lighting, double garage, etc. It will be fun to see what we can find. It's a stressful time, but fun at the same time.

Extreme Makeover

Tonight we're watching the show I'm sure many have heard of....Extreme Makeover Home Edition. We try to watch this every week, but tonight it's extra special because it's one that we actually got to see first hand being built. It's pretty exciting. I'm going to try and finish up my work here online and then get back to watching it.

Getting an Education

I was thinking today about how myself and my brothers have all been out of college for a few years at least now. Josh and I were finished in 05 and my little brother was done a couple years after that. It's great to know that we all are finished and have that educational background that will help us get where we need to go. Josh went to school for communications, I went to school for education and Jake went to school for engineering. He also did many jobs in Welding and other work holding things.

Buying a Home

Scott and I have been talking about some of the things we want and don't want in a new home when the time comes to buy one. Obvious things we want are a certain number of bedrooms, bathrooms and of course enough space for us to comfortably live like we do now. However, it's the small things that we want to pay attention to as well. For instance, does the house have wood flooring?, are there updates that will need to be made right away?, is there two garages?, etc. All of these things will factor in to any decision we will make on purchasing a house. I know the perfect one is out there...we just have to be patient.

Always something new....

I love watching as Kaelyn learns to do new things. Lately she's been standing a lot more on her own...and is talking so much!! She still jabbers most of the time...however we're starting to hear more words as well. Her favorites to say are: books, ball, mum, dad, and baby. Most recently she also started singing some of her ABC's. She got a great gift from my parents for her birthday...it's Fridge ABC's which sings the letters to her and helps her to learn the alphabet song as well. She's been singing and we can make out the letters A,B,H,I,J,K,L. It's so cute to see her learning new things right before our eyes. Each day it's something new....

Decorations are up!

We worked hard this weekend to get up all of our Christmas decorations. I'm happy to say that it's finally all done and looks great! We started Saturday night and got up the tree. Then Sunday we finished getting the rest of our decorations up. With the few inches of snow that we got this weekend and the cold weather...it definitely is feeling more like Christmas time i s around the corner. I sure love this time of year. You can look out the window and see houses lined up with lights all around.
