Psoriasis Drug that Kills Patients

Have you heard the news that there's actually an FDA warning out there that Raptiva, the Psoriasis drug available, can actually cause serious brain infection called Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML). That's a pretty scary warning if you ask me! I happened to read about this warning on the Raptiva PML website and thought it would be worth passing along. Anytime there's a warning of any kind, especially one of such seriousness it's important that we get the word out!

It's really a scary thing, something that has already killed two people and may have affected more than that. It's also being linked to meningitis, immune-mediated hemolytic anemia, and other life-threatening infections. It's important to know that if you or someone you know has taken something like this and been effected you may be able to get financial compensation. You can learn more on the RaptivaPML website as well as the http://www.youhaverights.com/dangerous-drugs/raptiva website. I would encourage you to head over there today and learn more about the Raptiva side effects and pass the word along as well.

Great Movie

Tonight Scott, myself and my brother watched the movie Fools Gold. I watched some of it with my dad one day, but hadn't seen the whole thing. It was nice to just relax and watch a movie as good as this one tonight. I really liked it. I'm surprised I'd never seen it before, as it had well known actors in it. It was a really cute movie and one that I'd like to own I think. My brother had seen it before, but Scott and I hadn't. I'd definitely see it again.

Karisma Hotels

The Karisma Hotels are located on the Mexican Riviera Maya...a beautiful location and a great vacation spot. This resort collection offers a new gourmet inclusive concept which is perfect for all those who love food! I know I do....and this is a vacation I've been wanting to go on for quite some time! There are many luxurious accommodations in these cancun hotels, such as snap to service, beach butlers, swim up rooms, beach beds and so much more! It's a very relaxing way to spend a vacation...for a honeymoon vacation or a family vacation. I would encourage you to look into it and see what you think. It's quite impressive.

Grocery Shopping

I always dread getting groceries...it's not the kind of shopping I enjoy too much. It's always so expensive, but thankfully we've found ways to save on our grocery bill which has been great. There are so many helpful sites out there that have offer coupons of all kinds. We've been utilizing them and have seen quite the difference on our grocery bill. I don't know why we didn't take advantage of these sooner, but am so glad we are now!

Busy Weekend

Even though it's the weekend, I feel like I haven't had much time to relax. I'm definitely needing a nap, but don't know that I'll have time for one. Sometimes I wish that there were just more hours in a day. It seems that there's never enough time to get things done. Today we're working on laundry, cleaning and getting some work done online, all while obviously doing our other daily tasks as well. It's a busy time, but at least Scott is here to help. Kaelyn and I always love it when he's home.

Allegro Medical

In 1996 a company was founded which would bring much convenience to those seeking life enhancing products. The name of that company is Allegro Medical, and they now serve more than 1 million customers! They are known to be the largest and most advanced independent online retailer of these types of products in the US. They offer everything from Exercise & Fitness Equipment, Nutritional Dietary Supplements, Maternity/Baby Supplies to Outdoor Gear. I was impressed when visiting their site, as I had no idea how user friendly it would be with all of these products they had offer. It was easy to learn all that they had to offer and I wanted to pass it along who wanted to learn about mentor as well.

Out to Eat

Last night we were able to enjoy a yummy supper with my brother Jake. He had never eaten at the large buffet here at the Casino...so we went there and had a great meal! He loves seafood, so he really enjoyed the fact that it was a seafood night. He ate the best crab he's ever had he said. I'm glad he liked it. He loves to eat out and try new places...now he can say he's eaten there. Kaelyn really liked their food too. It was a lot of fun. I'm glad we had the chance to go with him there. We don't go out to eat a lot, so when we do, it's fun.

Talking With Our Realtor

We had a Realtor come this week and look at our place before we list it on the market. We wanted her input on it, just to see if she had any advice on things we could change before selling. She really had nothing to say, other than the fact that she thinks it's a great place with a lot to offer. Other than a few things which we know need fixing (kitchen lights and bathroom faucet), we should be ready to sell by the end March I think. I'm excited, but at the same time a little nervous. I'm sure it will all go well...it's just a bit overwhelming.

Karisma Hotels

Karisma Hotels are a collection of properties located on the beautiful beaches of the Mexican Riviera Maya. They a resort collection which offers a new gourmet-inclusive concept, perfect for all those who love food as much as I do! Not only do they offer this, but also many luxurious accommodations like beach beds, bar swings, snap-to service, and so much more! This is any travelers dream. I for one would love to visit Karisma and take in all they have to offer. If you're looking for a relaxing and luxurious vacation, one where you don't have to waste all your silver coins, check into Karisma Hotels today! You won't be sorry you did.

Selling on Ebay

Ebay is always a good way to find great deals. I began thinking it may be a good way to make a little money too. However, after a few days of selling, I realize that the fees eBay and Paypal charge outweigh any profit you can make. I know some people are very successful, but they must have a great wholesaler then. I have had very little luck and don't think it will be something I will pursue further. I was hoping it would be a better source of money...I guess I"ll keep looking.

Selling Our Car

We're in the process of selling our second car. It's kind of bittersweet. We love having it, and it really doesn't cost us much to have. However, we don't really use it much, and we decided it's really only losing value just sitting the garage every day. Someone that Scott works with was in great need for a car that could ge t his wife to and from work without the high cost of gas that they were paying in their suburban. We decided on a price, and are in the process of selling it to them. They really like it and I think it will be a great car for them.

Language Development

When we were visiting with Kaelyn's doctor at her appointment on Tuesday, she commented on how many words Kaelyn is saying. Her vocabulary has really increased, and she noticed just through observation. I'm really glad that Kaelyn is a "talker"....it helps us to understand what it is she's needing and wanting. For instance, today she wanted water with her snack...so she said "wawa" and I knew exactly what it was she needed. Since she was very young, Kaelyn has enjoyed "communicating". At first it was through her signing, then jabbering and hand motions, and now real words. It's fun to see all the stages she's goes through when it comes to expressing herself. I can't really pinpoint one thing that would have helped her find words so early, other than the signing thing and reading books to her. I think both of those are very important when it comes to language development.

When it comes to books, Kaelyn even enjoys grabbing a book on her own and flipping through the pages. She has one book that's really fun to read to her, and probably one of my favorites. She enjoys it, but as she gets older, she will enjoy the signifcance of it even more. It's the personalized Children's book that I received to do a review on a few months back. It's a great book full of her name in the text and illustrations. I hope one day it sparks a curiosity for reading and makes it more fun for her too.

TGIF!

I'm so glad it's Friday...how about you?!! It's just been a long week and it will be nice to have Scott home with us for a couple of days. I always find weekends to be a time for housework, but also a time to relax with Scott and Kaelyn. We don't get to do that very often, so when we do, it's great!! This weekend there isn't much planned, so hopefully there will be some time to rest and enjoy each other's company!! I have some tax stuff to get together, but other than that it will be pretty low key.

Flooring in our new home

In the not so distant future, Scott and I are hoping to move closer to his job. In doing so, we would like to find a home comparable to the one we have now. I suppose the main difference for me, would be to look for something with more carpet and not so many hard floors. Having a young child, this is just a better fit for us. If we find a home we like, but it doesn't not have the flooring we are looking for....at least it would be somewhat of an easy fix, especially with CoyleCarpet.com. I found their site and they offer so much information on all kinds of flooring types. They will be very helpful in search and will help to find us the best products at the best prices. It's nice that there's a company we can trust when it comes to all of our flooring needs.

15 Month Drs Appointment

Tuesday we took Kaelyn to her Drs appointment and were quite surprised how much she has grown....that's always the most fun part about going. Since November at her 12 month appointment, Kaelyn has grown nearly 2 inches and gained 1 1/2 pounds. We thought that was pretty good and so did her doctor. She was also talking up a storm for her Dr, so she was able to hear the number of words Kaelyn has been saying. It's weird to think that after her 18 month appointment she will only start going once a year....I can't believe she is that old already. Where does the time go?!

Bathroom Remodel

I think one of my favorite rooms to decorate is the bathroom! Since moving in our home over a year ago...we've done a lot of decorating, especially in our bathroom. At some point we'd like to do the bathroom in the basement, and when that time comes I will be sure to find the very best fabric shower curtain from Cozy Homewares. They have so many different fabric shower curtains to chose from....good quality and affordable. I think a shower curtain is really what adds to a bathroom. I am looking forward to that little project.

Weekends

I can't believe the weekend is over already. Crazy how quickly it goes. We had a great couple of days though. Yesterday we were able to spend some time at home with Kaelyn. It was fun to relax and spend time together as a family. Today we went out to eat with my parents and then to a movie while they watched Kaelyn. It was great seeing them! Now we're home winding down for the night while we watch the superbowl.
