Until recently, I didn't understand why we pay so much for car insurance. Then my husband had an accident in the parking lot of our apartment complex. When he took the car to get estimates, he found that it was going to cost over a $1000 to fix it, which with our car insurance, we were only liable for $500. So now that we are moving to another state we have to compare car insurance to see if we can get a better deal, since his accident is now on our record.
