Great American Seafood Cook-Off

Most people who know me would say that I'm quite daring when it comes to trying new foods. I enjoy trying something at least once to see if I like it. Whether it be spicy, bland, or something else...count me in! I especially like seafood and that's why the Great American Seafood cook off of 2008 has really been a great interest of mine!! If using domestic seafood it's very sustainable and yummy. It's fresh and local which is terrific and a huge reason why I prefer it. I was really looking forward to seeing who won and today I was able to go in and see the top five recipes listed. They all looked good, but my favorite would definitely have to be the Colorado Striped Bass Panzanella. Why did I pick this one as my favorite? Well, it's the best because it's simple yet tasty. I love the ingredients use and it would be a perfect addition at any meal. Although I'm not what one would consider the best chef, I would definitely consider trying to make this at some point if my husband would agree to eating too. I think it would be really good and worth the time and preparation. If you'd like to check out this recipe for yourself, or any of the others, head over to their site and see what you think. It's from Colorado and created by Chef Paul Anders. You can even vote for your favorite recipe and for the chance to win a trip to New Orleans.
