Yuck!

I'm so happy to be feeling a little bit better. I have been fighting the stomach flu, along with my entire family and it has not been fun! What a way to spend the holidays. Kaelyn is coming down with something as well...and I hope she doesn't get it as bad as me. I have heard many people talking about the flu and how they're getting it as well. Hopefully it's just a 24 hour bug that leaves our home quickly!

Convenience of the Internet

I have found the internet so convenient for a variety of things. Sometimes I wonder what we did without the internet. Before I was in High School...I don't remember hardly ever using a computer. And when I did...it was for typing a paper in school. Now almost everyone has a computer in their home and we can use it to shop, to stay in touch with people....even to find things like a Seattle injury lawyer or information on different services out there. It's something I'm very thankful for.

Fun Day!!

I really shouldn't be sitting here on the computer as I have quite a bit to do before my brother and his family get here....but I need to take a break. Yesterday we were gone all day and I hadn't even had the chance to check my mail or catch up on work online. Today I have to get some cleaning done before my family gets here. It should be a really fun day!! I'm looking forward to getting our little nephew and Kaelyn together.

Do you have a wish??

Have you been to sitonsantaslap.com yet? If not, you should really check it out. I happened to come across their site and did the Sit on Santas Lap Experience. It was very entertaining and fun!! To participate you must be 18 years old, submit a photo of yourself and be a resident of the US. I decided to upload a picture of myself from last Christmas. It was the only picture I had of just me. I then had the opportunity to "tell" santa what I would like for Christmas. If you've got a wish....this is definitely a fun thing to take part in.

What's great is that I not only got a chance to participate in this fun experience, but I had the opportunity to learn more about the CEIVA Digital Photo Frame. Have you ever seen or heard of it before. It's unlike any other digital photo frame I've seen. It's unique in the fact that you can actually transfer things from phone or optional wi fi and it has an 8 inch screen. It's very attractive looking and is reasonably priced. It would make a perfect gift for Christmas!! I know I'd sure like it!!

There is a contest going on as well. Taking part in this experience you can be entered to win a cash prize. Each day of the contest 1 person will be randomly selected and will win 500 dollars each. If you'd like to learn more, check out their site today!

Walking Baby

Yesterday was a pretty exciting day for us. Kaelyn has been taking steps for over a month now...however this week...and especially last night....she really began to show increased balance and desire to walk. She was taking between 10 and 15 steps and is definitely walking now more than she is crawling. Her balance is getting so much better....and she was actually bending down and picking things up too. We were very excited! She's 13 months and officially has begun to walk some. What a big milestone this is!

Get Help With Debt

Debt is something many of us have either dealt with before, or are currently dealing with given teh current economic situation we are in. Having too much debt can be overwhelming and can really cause a lot of stress and problems. Having debt not only means you have money to pay back and that which is probably continually growing, but also have the effects on your credit and ability to get loans and other things. It's very important to deal with debt as quickly as possible and to do so with a company whom you trust.

Since this is something that many people are probably dealing with at the moment, I thought it would be beneficial to pass along a site I recently came across http://www.cleardebt.co.uk/, whose services will be able to help. If you're looking to cut debt, Avoid Bankruptcy, freeze the interest that you're paying, and start heading towards being debt free and getting your life back...this is definitely a site you want to check out. Head over there today and see what you think...you won't be sorry you did! Their site is very user friendly and easy to navigate.

Christmas

I can't believe that Christmas Eve is tomorrow already! It hardly seems possible. Where does the time go?? I'm excited though. Scott gets off work at noon...and then we're going to have our family Christmas that evening. After that over the next week or so we have 6 different Christmas'. I'm excited to see all of our family members during this time. It should be a great time. I'm sure it will go by far too quickly.

NetDebt

Now is a time when there are many people dealing with debt. It's a tough time with our economy and it's important to know where we can turn. It's sure not easy living with debt, and it's nice to know that there are people out there who want to help us get back on our feet. I recently came across NetDebt which I would strongly urge people to check out for themselves. They offer the only completely online enrollment solution. They have truly changed the debt industry with the creation of their site and that's why I felt it so important to pass the information along.

If you're tired of all debt help making you take part in embarrassing and drawn out counseling that digs in to all of your personal issues....then trust me, you definitely want to look into NetDebt today!! They are a debt program that does not require this which is a breath of fresh air compared to many other programs out there! The great thing, and in my opinion something that's comforting to know is that they always do have live reps available for you to talk with if you need them. It is on your terms though and they only want to help!!

Check out their very user friendly site if you'd like to learn more abou them! If you have questions, check out their Debt Consolidation FAQ. You wont' be sorry you did!

Kaelyn Dancing

There's nothing better than watching a baby dance!! It started out when Kaelyn was quite young...she'd bob her head and get all excited when she'd hear music of any kind. Now, she's older and has started to stand out in the middle of the room, bobbing her head, turning her hips and bouncing her legs to all kinds of music....a tune she hears on the TV, the songs her toys play, etc. It's pretty adorable if you ask me!! :) No matter what kind of day I'm having...I always enjoy Kaelyn's dancing. She can bring a smile to my face in an instant...what a joy she is! I happened to capture her dancing last night as she played with a "Guitar Hero" toy from the cereal box. Isn't it something that something as simple as a cheap toy from Kellogg could provide endless fun for a one year old??! :)

Police Gear

Every wonder where you can find some great police gear? I know I have. Well...for a great selection of everything from Surefire flashlights to boots....the lapolicegear.com site has it all! I was amazed with the large variety of products they offer and their outstanding prices. Not only that, but everyone will appreciate their user friendly site as it makes it easy for you to find exactly what it is you're looking for. If you'd like to learn more about the police gear offered here...check out their site today!

Winter weather

Waking up this morning to find no snow falling is a relief. They say we're supposed to get quite the storm today, and I was hoping that it holds off...at least until this afternoon once Scott is home from work. He works such a distance from home that it would be nice if he didn't have to fight the storm. Once again it definitely seems like winter is finally here. I just hope it cooperates next week with the holidays.

New Patio Doros

Scott and I were recently discussing how nice it would be to get a new patio door. We have french patio doors that go out into our three season porch and they're very nice...however, with the bitter cold we've been having we definitely see that we need to find something with a better seal and better quality. Looking around, we came across masonite.com and were very impressed with their line of patio doors!! What's great is that they're not only great quality, but they look so beautiful! It would be a wonderful addition to our home and I'm just so excited we stumbled upon them.

If you're in the market for new patio doors, you should definitely head over to this great site like we did! I'm telling you, you won't be sorry you did!! You can even download their patio doors brochure which is sure to help you pick out the best door for you. It's a very user friendly site and one that's incredibly easy to navigate. You won't have any problem finding exactly what it is you're looking for with the click of a button. What better way to shop then from the comfort of your own home. That's my kind of shopping! Check it out today and see what you think.

Tired

For some reason today I'm feeling like I definitely did not get enough sleep last night. That makes for a rough beginning to my day. I wish there were more time while Kaelyn naps to sleep a little bit, but that is my only time during the day when I really have the chance to get a lot of things done....cleaning, laundry, etc. Oh well...I'll just make sure to go to bed a bit earlier tonight. Kaelyn goes to sleep at 8, so anytime after that we can go to bed. I also think it would help if we didn't get people calling at 4:30 in the morning and then realizing they have the wrong number....

Wedding Channel

Planning a wedding can be quite stressful. Wouldn't you agree? That's why it's important to take any help that you can find. I recently came across WeddingChannel.com and wanted to pass it along for those who may be planning a wedding of their own. They offer a very user friendly site for those planning a wedding and wanting to make a little less stressful. With the planning tools, advice, photos, vendor guide, registry and more....you won't be sorry!! It really helps to give you Wedding Ideas and helps you to save that gold bullion of yours by giving useful tips. Head over there today and see what you think.

Good Exercise

We got a Wii today and absolutely love it! Now there's no need for weight loss pills, that's for sure. It's definitely a work out!! I can't believe how sore I am tonight. It's amazing how a little golf, tennis, and bowling can really make you feel like you just ran a mile. I always knew that it would be a lot of fun, but I had no idea how much of an exercise routine it would be. WOW!! Scott really thought so too. We're looking forward to playing it more and more....maybe with time it won't take such a toll on us.

Relaxing

It's sure nice to have the chance to just relax tonight. Scott and I were busy today and we're both ready for bed already. It's not often that we get a night to just relax so we're going to enjoy it. :) Tomorrow is already the start of a busy work week and we both would like to get rested. It seems like the weeks have been going by fairly slowly lately, so I'm really looking forward to the next weekend again. Hopefully it comes soon!

PayingPost.com

Are you a stay at home mom, or simply someone who could use more money??? If so, then you and I can relate. I stay home with our little girl, yet wanted a way to earn a little extra income each month as well. I wasn't sure what I was going to do to achieve this until I came across blogging for money! If you've never tried it, you definitely need to!! Advertising on blogs helps to benefit the blogger, as well as the advertiser. The advertisers site or products are being marketed, while the blogger learns more about the services out there as well as makes a decent income at the same time. The great thing about blog marketing is that you're not out any money. You get to use the blog that you already use for personal use so there's not need to do anything but blog about the things you love and those that interest your readers. It doesn't get any easier than that now, does it?!!

There are many options out there, but there are some that are not as good as others. Recently I began working with PayingPost.com and am very impressed. They have a new layout which is very user friendly and attractive. Their system is easy to navigate and use. I enjoy the fact that they have interesting topics to blog about and give you the freedom to discuss your reactions of sites and products in such an honest way.

If blogging for money is something you think you may be interested in, I strongly urge you to head over to their site and learn more about getting your blog signed up, submitting it and getting it approved approved, and all there is to know about starting to take posts. You'll see how easy it is to do and how much extra money you will have rolling in within a short amount of time!

The Weekend

Well...once again I sit here and can't believe that it's already Sunday night. The weekends fly by so quickly. WOW! I sure wish the weeks would go by as fast as this...that would sure be nice. We have such a fun time when Scott can be home with us...Kaelyn and I just love it. :) I'm very thankful for the job he has though, and the decent hours he has. We at least get to see him in the evenings during the week which is much appreciated.

Pickard Properties No. 1

It's every landlord's dream to do their job well and be recognized for it!! This is exactly what happened to the student landlord in Leeds, UK. Through a Leeds University Union Survey, students voted, Pickard did very well when it came to being a great landlord. After working for many years this was quite special. Pickard not only wants to give their student tenants benefits, but also wants to do something for the environment. That's why they are going to offer rents that are inclusive of bills but the difference between them and other landlords is that they are going green by using 100% renewable energy resource for utilities so both students and the environment benefit. I thought this was wonderful! They also ensure that students understand what a good property is by keeping up the properties they let. Other student accommodation in leeds include things like burgler alarms, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, gas central heating, washing machines, microwaves, furniture, and more!! What a nice lifestyle it would be to live in a property like this! Check it out on their site if you'd like to learn more.

Needing Rest

For some reason today I'm feeling like I definitely did not get enough sleep last night. That makes for a rough beginning to my day. I wish there were more time while Kaelyn naps to sleep a little bit, but that is my only time during the day when I really have the chance to get a lot of things done....cleaning, laundry, etc. Oh well...I'll just make sure to go to bed a bit earlier tonight. Kaelyn goes to sleep at 8, so anytime after that we can go to bed.

Long Lines

Have you ever been at the bank and there's a long line of people there waiting to see a teller? Well...I was recently in this situation and had Kaelyn with me. I finally got to the front where I was being helped, but then didn't realize there was an exit sign to the right, and instead walked back out the way I came. It was a little hectic and embarrassing. I guess I will remember next time though, especially when there's that many people waiting.

The Reason for the Season

It's hard to believe that Christmas is just around the corner! While there is always a lot to do this time of year, may we remember that we are getting ready to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior...Jesus Christ!! With the busyness of the season...shopping, family get-togethers, Christmas parties, etc...... it's often easy to get caught up in everything and forget what Christmas is truly all about!! It's so important that we all remember that Christmas is about our Lord Jesus Christ and all He has done for you and me! Thank you Father for sending your Son for us!! I encourage everyone to remember the Reason for the Season and to put the Lord first in your life today and every other day of the year! He is what this season, and this life are all about. May we live for Him each and every day of our lives. Thank you Lord!

I thought this was such a sweet song by the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir called Happy Birthday Jesus, that I just had to share it!! I'm sure many have heard it, as it's on the radio a lot lately. It's so incredibly touching and serves as a reminder to us all that Jesus is the Reason for the Season.

The Christmas lights are synchronized with the song

Quality Eyeglasses

Many of us have been effected by the struggling economy. It effects everything from what we buy at the store, to how often we venture out in our car. I think even the small areas of our lives have been effected. I for one was sitting reading last night and realized how badly I need new glasses. My prescription is not right and I would like something that I could wear which didn't give me a headache after 5 minutes!! Money though...keeps me from going to get them...until now that is! I found Optical4Less.com today and am so happy I did. They offer high quality prescription eyeglasses with prices as low as 15 dollars! Can you believe that?? Wow! I don't think I'll ever buy eyeglasses anywhere else seeing the selection and prices they have here! You can't beat Optical4Less.com, that's for sure! Check it out for yourself and see what you think. Whether it's tinted sunglasses, bifocal reading glasses or even the progressive reading eyeglasses....they have it all right here on this very user friendly website. I don't know why anyone would ever buy eye glasses anywhere else when there are cheap deals as great as this with a click of a button!

What are you waiting for??!!

As a stay at home mom I obviously enjoy any thing I can do to make a little extra income each month. I wouldn't have to, but it's nice to make things more comfortable for us by bringing in a little extra cash. I have found a great way to do this through blogging for money. Many people I have talked to about this, who know nothing about it only have negative things to say. They either say it's "too good to be true" or that it sounds boring. I have to say that they're missing out! If you blog about things that interest you, and you're able to make money while doing it...in my opinion that's a great job! I feel truly blessed to have this opportunity.

Prison Inmate Locator

Have you ever wondered where it is possible to access inmate records or inmate license records?? If so, you may want to check into the Prison Inmate Locator. I thought it was very interesting that you could locate nationwide federal inmate reports quickly with direct data retrieval. I suggest if you're interested in learning more, you should check out this site and all the information they have to offer.

Snow

Wow did the weather get nasty last night. We went to bed and knew the snow was falling, but had no idea we'd wake up to find 6 inches on the ground. Poor Scott had to go out and shovel snow and then head to work. I'm glad he at least has a more flexible schedule this year as it makes it easier to go to work a little later if the weather does not cooperate. Hopefully he'll be home a little earlier today too....the snow is still blowing and drifting in places.

House Hunting

Scott and I have been looking at homes lately. We're not putting ours on the market yet, but when we do, we'll obviously be looking for another house closer to his job. In looking for homes we have certain things that we'd like it to have. A certain number of rooms, a certain number of bathrooms, outdoor lighting, double garage, etc. It will be fun to see what we can find. It's a stressful time, but fun at the same time.

Extreme Makeover

Tonight we're watching the show I'm sure many have heard of....Extreme Makeover Home Edition. We try to watch this every week, but tonight it's extra special because it's one that we actually got to see first hand being built. It's pretty exciting. I'm going to try and finish up my work here online and then get back to watching it.

Getting an Education

I was thinking today about how myself and my brothers have all been out of college for a few years at least now. Josh and I were finished in 05 and my little brother was done a couple years after that. It's great to know that we all are finished and have that educational background that will help us get where we need to go. Josh went to school for communications, I went to school for education and Jake went to school for engineering. He also did many jobs in Welding and other work holding things.

Buying a Home

Scott and I have been talking about some of the things we want and don't want in a new home when the time comes to buy one. Obvious things we want are a certain number of bedrooms, bathrooms and of course enough space for us to comfortably live like we do now. However, it's the small things that we want to pay attention to as well. For instance, does the house have wood flooring?, are there updates that will need to be made right away?, is there two garages?, etc. All of these things will factor in to any decision we will make on purchasing a house. I know the perfect one is out there...we just have to be patient.

Always something new....

I love watching as Kaelyn learns to do new things. Lately she's been standing a lot more on her own...and is talking so much!! She still jabbers most of the time...however we're starting to hear more words as well. Her favorites to say are: books, ball, mum, dad, and baby. Most recently she also started singing some of her ABC's. She got a great gift from my parents for her birthday...it's Fridge ABC's which sings the letters to her and helps her to learn the alphabet song as well. She's been singing and we can make out the letters A,B,H,I,J,K,L. It's so cute to see her learning new things right before our eyes. Each day it's something new....

Decorations are up!

We worked hard this weekend to get up all of our Christmas decorations. I'm happy to say that it's finally all done and looks great! We started Saturday night and got up the tree. Then Sunday we finished getting the rest of our decorations up. With the few inches of snow that we got this weekend and the cold weather...it definitely is feeling more like Christmas time i s around the corner. I sure love this time of year. You can look out the window and see houses lined up with lights all around.

Stressed!

I love the holidays, but they sure are stressful sometimes. We have three different thanksgivings to go to tomorrow which makes for a very busy day. We will be gone much of the weekend...so that means a lot of packing and planning as well. It's kind of stressing me out tonight as we get ready to leave tomorrow morning for our first meal of the day. I really love the family time we get....it's just all the preparing that gets a bit overwhelming.

Diet Pills

Have you ever tried the different diet pills that are out there? I haven't, but hear a lot about them through ads on tv, online and in stores. It seems there are so many to choose from these days. I am not sure how a person even goes about choosing the best option for them, other than reading reviews and word of mouth. There are some great sites out there giving legit reviews about the different diet pills like Fentraphen for instance.

Smart Guy

Over the years I've become a bit better and figuring out things when it comes to the web and electronics in general. I was thinking about it the other day, and much of the knowledge I've gained comes from little brother. He's a wiz when it comes to all sort of things. Whether it be the Internet you have a question about or even something like digital signage...he has the answer. I think some people are just more interested in things like this and it comes easier to them.

Finally....

YEAH!!!! It's wednesday!! I couldn't be happier! That means Thanksgiving is tomorrow and we all get to spend time with family and eat lots of great food! I am really looking forward to it. I know some may not agree...but so far this week for us has gone very slow!! That's why I am so thankful that we have a day together as a family tomorrow. Then Friday is a great shopping day! I can't wait! :)

Cruiser Customizing

With the convenience of the Internet that we have today....we have the ability to find and buy almost anything imaginable with the click of a button. Many of us don't even have to hardly leave our homes anymore to do the shopping! It's even possible to find things like Motorcycle parts and accessories. I know this, because I came across CruiserCustomizing.com today. They have a site that allows people to find all kinds of great products at reasonable prices. I suggest taking a look if you are interested in learning more about kuryakyn.

Almost Here!

During this holiday time I am reminded of my school and college days when I counted down the days until we had some time off from school. Now, even having been out of school for quite some time, I still find myself looking forward to the holidays and the break we all get from everyday life to spend quality time with loved ones.

It's that time of year and Thanksgiving is almost here! I am really looking forward to it! Being able to spend time with family and eat lots of yummy food....who could ask for anything better?!! There are many of our family members who we haven't seen in quite a while...so it should be alot of fun. The holidays are always a very busy time, and this one is no exception. We have three Thanksgivings in one day! It will be a long, but very wonderful day! I can't wait!!

The excitement does not end there though. Friday, as I'm sure many of you know, is only the best shopping day of the entire year!! Scott will be working, but I am looking forward to taking the day to go shopping with Kaelyn and my parents. Saturday will be a relaxing day...one that I plan on taking to get up our Christmas tree and all the decorations. YEAH! :)

I'm sure the time will go by quickly, as do many other weekends...but I still look forward to this time and all the excitement we have planned!

Make Money At Home

As a stay at home mom I obviously enjoy any thing I can do to make a little extra income each month. I wouldn't have to, but it's nice to make things more comfortable for us by bringing in a little extra cash. I have found a great way to do this through blogging for money. Many people I have talked to about this, who know nothing about it only have negative things to say. They either say it's "too good to be true" or that it sounds boring. I have to say that they're missing out! If you blog about things that interest you, and you're able to make money while doing it...in my opinion that's a great job! I feel truly blessed to have this opportunity.

A Love for Reading

I love that Kaelyn enjoys reading. Whenever she is on the floor playing, she immediately goes for her basket of books that I have available to her. She has her favorites, but really she'll read anything that we set in front of her. She loves to point at pictures and even says some of the words that correlate with them. For months now she's been flipping the pages and actually looks through the book from one cover to the other. I am quite impressed with this and really hope that it's a sign she will have a love for reading someday.

Doesn't a nice relaxing vacation sound great? Maybe cancun vacations?! I was recently online looking to find somewhere warm that we could travel this winter. I came across Karisma Hotels. Ever heard of them before? They are a resort collection located on the beaches of the Mexican Riviera Maya. They offer a gourmet inclusive concept perfect for those who adore food! Between their luxurious accomodations and amazing location...this is a place that everyone will love. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation...one where you'll find beach beds, bar swings, beach butlers that treat you like gold, hot tubs and more...this is the place you want to check out! I'm so glad that I did!!

Weekends

I wish that just because it was Saturday that meant that we could relax....but that's usually not the case. We have lots of cleaning to do....as well as other odd jobs around the house. Maybe tomorrow after church we'll get the chance to relax?!? I sure wish the weekends wouldn't go by so quickly. Or even better...I wish that they were longer. I can imagine we'd be able to get a lot accomplished and still have time to relax if that were the case.

Marriage Counseling

More and more we hear of marriages falling apart and ending in divorce. It's so sad. Everywhere
I turn it seems like there is a couple having troubles. Many of these couples probably have found themselves finding it difficult to communicate their problems with one another. After all...communication is so important in a marriage!! Seeing how divorce is rising I felt it necessary to share the National Institute of Marriage and their Marriage Counseling programs with you. Whether you are someone looking for help, or someone you know...www.nationalmarriage.com is a place you may want to start.

I happened to come across this site and thought it was very informative...something anyone could use and find the information they're looking for. If you're interested....head over to their site for yourself and check it out. There you'll find information on counseling, conferences, books and so many other resources that may be helpful. It's very user friendly and everything you need is right there on the main page. See what you think and take a look at the following press release which offers further information:

With the national divorce rate around 50%, there is no doubt that many marriages run into communication problems at some point. There is a communication epidemic. The National Institute of Marriage has created marriage counseling programs and resources utilizing a structure that is the most powerful format they have found for helping couples who feel stuck and hopeless. They have designed several programs to help couples move past the barriers and experience the marriage of their dreams.
NIM's Intensive Marriage Counseling Programs are unique from weekly marriage counseling in three distinctive ways:

· Intensive Marriage Counseling Format: Committing to an extended amount of concentrated time like the 2 or 4 day Marriage Intensive allows people to get to the root of the problem and stick with it in order to work through it. If you’ve been in traditional marriage counseling before, you may have experienced how you spend the first half catching up from the week before, the second half getting into the real issues, and then the time is gone. The Intensive format is designed so that people have the chance to go deeper without many of the other distractions of daily life and have enough discuss to consider solutions.

· Efficiency: One of the first steps in the process is an extensive assessment with some questionnaires. This allows the therapists to gather background information and can get an idea of the best strategy to proceed before you arrive for your session.

· Marriage Counselors: The counselors at the National Institute of Marriage are specialists in this area. One analogy we like to use is that of the Mayo Clinic: people go to their regular physician but may be sent to a specialist to work with specific areas. The NIM marriage therapists have been trained in this format to maximize its effectiveness. Also, the NIM marriage counseling programs provide the perspectives and insight of two professionals rather than one.
If you are considering divorce, you must try the National Institute of Marriage before giving up. They have developed a continuum of care that meets couples wherever they may be in their relationship. Regardless of the health of their marriage they have a service that can help couples improve their marital satisfaction. Visit their website at http://www.nationalmarriage.com. Read the incredible testimonies from the couples that saved their marriages by attending a Marriage Intensive at the National Institute of Marriage.

Even When I'm busy...

Wow...is it already lunch time?! Where do the mornings go? I can't believe that half the day is already over. I feel like I haven't had time to hardly do anything but my work online. I have taken many breaks to play with Kaelyn though...that's always the best. She's in such a silly mood today...laughing a lot! :) Even when I'm busy and a little stressed with everything I need to do...Kaelyn always puts a smile on my face! She's such a sweetheart!

Denver Magazine

Have you ever visited Denver before? If so, you know the beauty of this city and all they have to offer. I recently learned that they actually offer a monthly feature which highlights Denver's local businesses, political and cultural news, information on movers, etc. The Denver Restaurants helps to keep readers informed on everything going on. I think it's great and wish more cities would do something like this. Whether your simply trying to become more up to date on what's going on or would like to find some of their wonderful dining places...this is the place you want to look. Check out their site for more information.

New Words

It's fun to hear Kaelyn say new things. Lately she's been saying lots of things that surprise us. For instance, she has this "fridge phonics" ABC thing that sings the ABC's, and lately when she pushes the button she actually says some of the letters along with it! At first we looked at each other wondering if that's in fact what she was saying...but sure enough after repeatedly doing it we found that she was! :) She has also been saying books (without the k) and ball. I'm sure every parent gets excited when their kids start saying new things.

Sears.com Sales

The holiday season is here and I've already been looking online at the ads available to see what some of the great deals are out there. Can you believe it's already that time of year?!? I can't. It hardly seems possible! I found some terrific sales at Sears.com though and was super excited!! Have you checked out their site yet? If not, I strongly suggest you do! They are deals you won't want to pass up and are only good while quantities last! In looking through their online ad, which is very easy to find I might add, I found so many things that I would like to buy this holiday season. There were many things that stood out, but I would have to say a couple of the best deals were the 60% off outerwear & sweaters for the family and the extra 15% off all fine jewelry already 40%-70% off. These two sales alone cover a lot of holiday shopping I need to do, and may even allow me to find something for myself as well!

So, what are you waiting for? This is a one day only Doorbuster Sears Super Saturday Sale!! Don't pass up the chance to find great deals and head over to their site right away to see if these are sales you'd be interested in.

So Fun!

My day has already started off quite busy and it's only 9AM. I have quite a bit of work to do online, then it's off to cleaning around the house. I'll probably do most of the house work while Kaleyn naps so that I can spend some time with her and play this morning and this afternoon. That's my favorite part of the day!! She's so much fun. As she gets older she's obviously been able to do more and it makes it easier to play together. Lately she's been enjoying walking to us from the couch or wherever she's standing. She's also been enjoying rolling the ball back and forth and playing peek a boo! So much fun!

Shop Kmart.com and Save!

It's that time of year when everyone is starting to think about Christmas and holiday shopping. You can miss all the signs and ads for all the deals coming up!! I for one enjoy doing much of my shopping online. It's simply easier with a young child now. Recently I began doing some shopping and checked out Kmart.com. They had so many wonderful deals!! Have you checked them out yet? If not, you really should! I was especially impressed with their sale on 1/4ct tw Diamond 5-Stone Journey Pendant and Earrings Set in 10K Yellow Gold with an extra 10% off online only and the Abbey Hill bedding Medallion Dream bedding collection with an extra 30% online only! These are some great deals and it looks like shopping online pays off! Wow!! Who wouldn't like to get an extra percent off just for shopping online?!

If you'd like to check out all of their great deals...head over to their site today! The price you see on the product page is not the sale price....the sale price shows up once item is in the cart. So...you'll be saving even more money than the price that is already shown!! It's definitely worth checking things out and seeing if you are interested in any of the items they have on sale. And, if you are shopping between now and the end of December, Kmart is giving an extra 10% off for purchases online in the following categories: womens plus sleepwear, womens attention brand, girls tops, ALL juniors, boys tops, mens shirts and bottoms, big mens shirts and bottoms

Exhausted

The last few days have been really long and exhausting. For the most part, Scott has a great schedule with work...so much better than his previous job. However....this is the time of year when he usually has to go in early and comes home later in the evening. It's not too bad...but after a few days I'm starting to feel more and more tired. It's difficult to get everything done during the day...and trying to just exhausts me.

Viral Marketing

Have you ever heard of Yovia before? I hadn't until just recently, but am glad that I did. They, along with Marketing Sherpa are offering a conference on the we for free for anyone interested in learning more about How to Viral Market. Wondering what this is? Well...basically they want to help give people the step by step information to create, track and execute viral marketing. I think this is so great, not only because of the idea of it, but also because the instruction being given in this free web conference is from some of the top experts in the industry!! Christmas Lights

As the sun went down tonight I noticed that more and more people are putting up the lights on their houses now. At first I thought we were the only ones in town to have their lights up....and I think we were...but now more and more people are doing it before the weather gets really cold and the snow makes it next to impossible. It's starting to feel more and more like Christmas and I'm loving it. Soon we'll have to go driving around town and look at all the beautiful decorations.

I recently came across this site and wanted to pass it along. Here you will find the best dentists that offer cosmetic dentistry procedures like braces, TMJ, bonding, veneers, implants, and more!! The Irvine cosmetic dentists are trained to cover a number of different procedures so whether you're struggling and need a root canal or need dental surgery...they can do it all! Check out their site today for further information to see if Irvine teeth whitening is what you've been looking for.

Dieting

Walking through the store the other day Scott and I realized how many options people have to lose weight. There are all kinds of low fat or low carb options, as well as diet pills and exercise equipment. It's nice that people have a choice when they go into the store how they're going to live healthier lives. We choose to just buy healthier foods, but I know that some prefer other options. They can find it all just by walking through the store.

Kaelyn's Hugs and Kisses...

...are the best! Today I had a terrible headache....one I'm pretty sure has been brought on from weaning and the change in hormone levels. I was pretty miserable, and after taking something in hopes that it would help cease the pain, I decided to lay on the couch while she was playing on the floor. Typically I would take this time to play with her, but with my head pounding, it was much better for me to watch her while laying down for a little while. It was so cute though...as much as I expected her to continue playing with her toys...the instant she saw me lay down on the couch...it was almost as if she knew I wasn't feeling well because she came right over, stood by me and gave me one kiss after another while smiling from ear to ear. She was even giving hugs too!! She's such a sweetie. Now, if that doesn't make someone who doesn't feel well smile, I don't know what will?!? :) I can honestly say that this brightened my day and was the beginning of feeling better.

Adventure Gear

Do you ever find yourself looking for a site that offers outdoor gear? I know I do...especially this time of year when I'm looking for Christmas gifts for Scott. He likes all that kind of Adventure Gear, so I've been looking around trying to find the best deals on knives, flashlights and more. I found Sierra Adventure Gear which is a terrific site for anyone looking for outdoor gear at great prices. Their site is so user friendly! They have the categories listed along the left side for easy navigation and convenient shopping. Check it out if you want learn more about all they have to offer.

Fast Week Ahead

What a nice weekend! Our weekend started out a bit hectic....but as it went on we had a really great time visiting my parents. We had some issues with the painting that we were going to do in our family room...but thankfully everything worked out great!! We were then able to visit my parents for a couple of days and enjoy relaxing and just spending time together. Unfortunately the weekend is over and Monday is already upon us. I can already tell this will be a fast week!

Chrsitmas Shopping

Christmas is right around the corner and I know people who are looking to get their Christmas shopping done very soon. I have been doing a lot of my Christmas shopping online this year and have some really good luck. It's just so convenient for me having a little one! I have found almost everything I needed to buy except fo the rc helicopter. I'm sure if I keep looking though I will find the perfect product at the perfect price.

Cosmetology Schools

I have always thought it would be fun to get into the field of cosmetology. I was always wondering what schools there were for this in my area though. I got looking for one day and found Regency. They have been around for over 50 years...so you know they're a respectable school that's continuing to grow. They started out with two schools in Minnesota and grew to almost 30 campuses in the country now. They're the fastest growing beauty school in the country and are continuing to grow each year! The education and experience they offer students sounds outstanding as they get hands on experience that prepares them for their real career one day. If you're interesting in cosmetology schools you may want to look at Regency first!

Another Busy Day

Today is another busy day in our household. There's always something to do, isn't there?! We decided that since we didn't have anything planned, we were going to get some things done so the house is ready to sell this Spring. Scott is going to work on painting the ceiling in our addition, and working on getting the bathtub resealed in the bathroom. Little by little we're going to try and get this stuff done so we don't have to worry about it later on. Other than that we're getting groceries, cleaning and doing laundry. A neverending list...but someone's gotta do it, right?! Hopefully we still have some time at the end of the day just to relax. We'll see....

Free Credit Reports.com

Recently having bought a vehicle, a new home, and having much experience with credit cards and loans...you could say I thought I knew all there was to know about credit and credit scores. I found that I had a lot to learn when I happened to come across Free-Credit-Reports.com. As I searched through their site I found a wealth of information concerning credit cards, credit scores, credit reports and so much more!! I think my favorite part of this website is the user-friendly layout that it offers. I quickly found the "library" section where there are many articles on all kinds of things such as, bad credit history, choosing credit cards, and understanding credit. What was nice about all of the articles that I read was that they were written in a way that I could understand. I think that's very important for anyone wanting to learn more about credit....if they're going to make changes for the better they need to understand what it's all about and how to boost their credit score.

Whether you're looking to learn more about credit, wanting to get information on credit cards and apply for them online, or are looking to get a free credit report...this is the place you want to go!! No matter what your credit history, they have everything you need to become more informed on this subject and get your credit back on the right track! Check out their site for more information when you get the chance...you won't be sorry you did!

New Camera

Today we finally got our new camera in the mail. I had received a very nice Kodak camera for my birthday, but within a couple of short months...the LCD screen got broken. It was a really nice camera and took beautiful pictures. The only disappointment with it was the battery life...it didn't last long at all! So...when it broke, we decided to start looking at different brands that also are known for their quality pictures. We ended up getting a GREAT deal on a Nikon CoolPixs...and it came today. So far from what we can tell it's very nice. It takes excellent pics. I'm excited to learn more about all the settings and stuff.

High Speed Internet Information

Isn't it funny how we do almost everything on the Internet these days? We communicate with people, post pictures, pay bills...some of us even make a living on it. Whatever use you have for the Internet, it's important to many of us to have high-speed internet. If you're looking for articles, FAQ's, search engines, and video tutorials about Internet Services, you definitely should check out Digital Landing and the information they include for providers like Comcast, Time Warner and others!!

As someone who does A LOT of work online, I definitely prefer a high speed internet connection. For this reason I was looking around and came across Digital Landing. I found that they have lots to offer someone like me and many others with the same need. They have all the information I need on everything to hooking up a wireless connection to making my internet run more quickly. If you'd like to learn more about them, check out their very user-friendly site today!

It's almost christmas time....

...and I can't wait!! It's my favorite time of year!! Most years this is the time when I begin Christmas shopping. This year is no different, however...I'm realizing that I don't necessarily have to go to the store to do it! I've been doing a lot of my shopping right here online! It's so easy and convenient! Planning long shopping sprees isn't very practical with a one year old...so to be able to do it from home has been wonderful!

Today I spent much of my time gathering a list of things for Kaelyn's Christmas list. Many of our parents and siblings have been asking what she would like or needs....so I browsed the web and created a list at WishList.com. It was a bit time consuming, but now that it's all said and done I'm glad I took the time to do it. It will be easy for our families to use her Christmas list right there on the site and even shop online if they wish.

Making Kaelyn's Christmas list and doing some shopping for a few family members is as far as I've gotten so far. I suppose that isn't too bad considering it's not even Thanksgiving yet though. It's nice to get a good start on things...soon we will be sending out Christmas cards, putting up the tree, listening to Christmas music! Scott already hung the lights up outside on the house...and with all the snow we've been getting it's definitely feeling like that time of year already!

The Perfect Job!

Scott is sure loving his new job!! He has all the benefits and things that he wanted in a job...it's just perfect. As a salesman he meets with many different chemical reps and people who work with the company that he works for. It's fun for him, because whenever he meets with these reps...he always comes home with lots of promotional products that they've given him. He's gotten things like laptop bags, knives, pens and so much more. It's a nice perk to a job that is already so perfect for him. I'm so glad that he's finally found the job of his dreams!

Busy, but FUN weekend!

Wow...is it Sunday night already?? Where did the weekend go? Last I knew it was Friday, now we're winding down for the night and getting ready to start a new week. I think the time went by so quickly because we were so busy this weekend. Friday we had Kaelyn's Drs appointment which always takes a good part of the day by the time we get ready, go and then get home and have lunch. Friday night my brother came to visit and he was here until this afternoon. It was nice having him come and visit...Kaelyn sure enjoyed it too. She loves her Uncle Jake.

Capella University

I'm sure many are like me and have considered going back to college to get their masters degree. It's a thought that has crossed my mind, especially when I was teaching. If I ever did go back to further my education though, after looking over many online colleges, I would probably look into Capella University, because they are a fully accredited online University that would make it easy for me to keep doing the things that I do now, and go to school from the comfort of my own home. It's so easy and getting a quality education at the same would be great. Recently I was on their site...as I've been many times...and found their latest Inside Online Education podcast. It featured a discussion with Beverly Enns who is a faculty chair for ready/literacy there. I really enjoy that they offer these interviews with real staff and students...it helps people become more educated on what their school has to offer. If interested, you should check it out for yourself on their site today.

Growing Little Girl

It had been three months since we last took Kaelyn to one of her well-child checkups, so you could say we were pretty excited to take her to her 12 month check up this morning to see how much she had grown. That's the best part about it...is seeing how much weight she's gained and how much taller she is. Over the past month or so, we knew Kaelyn had grown....as our arms were getting more tired the longer we held her....however, we didn't know that she had gained over 3 1/2 lbs and almost 2 inches!! Wow!! She sure is growing!! :) She is now 20 1/2 lbs and just over 28 inches tall! Whenever we come home from a checkup I always enjoy taking a look at my own baby book to see how similar she is in size to what I was at her age. Today was no different...I came home and opened up the book. I was less than an inch taller than her and only a couple of oz heavier. :)

Also....Now that Kaelyn is at least 20 lbs and a year old we can officially, and legally, turn her carseat to face forward. Scott has been looking forward to this for quite some time now...as he likes to look at Kaelyn in the rear view mirror and be able to talk to her. Now he can do that more easily, as she'll be able to see him and talk back to him too. I think Kaelyn will enjoy car rides a lot more now. She'll be able to look forward and see the world in front of her. Before it hardly took two minutes before she was sleeping....i can't say I blame her....staring at the seat the whole time must be kind of boring. :) I guess this is just one more thing that signifies our little girl getting older and is "officially" 1!

Black Friday

Black Friday is a day that I have come to really enjoy. I never used to go shopping on this day, but once I started, I now won't miss it. The one thing I don't like about it is the long lines and the huge crowds! That makes it very difficult to to do all the shopping that I need to do before the holidays. What's good news for people like me who do not like this...is that many people have found shopping online to be just as beneficial and less hectic. There is one Black Friday site that I found and I'm very impressed with. They want to help you save money on Black Friday and make it easy by allowing you to shop online and not have the hassles that the rest of us have with shopping right in the stores. There is another bonus to using this site. They offer free e-mail alerts for when the black friday ads come out. I think this is great and have already signed up so I can find the Target deals and more! I really am happy to have found this site and wanted to take this chance to pass it along to all of you. Black Friday is a HUGE shopping day and I think it's important for us all to have the opportunity to take advantage of these wonderful sales without the crowds. If you'd like to learn more you can check out blackfridayonline.com site today!

Time Change

I don't know about you, but I'm having a difficult time adjusting to the new time change. I don't know if it's because it gets dark earlier now or what...but it's been difficult for me to get used to. I feel much more tired at night, and find it harder to sleep in the morning. Part of that is because our daughter, Kaelyn is also having a difficult time adjusting. She has been waking up with the sun...like she used to.....so it's hard for her to get the sleep she is used to getting. Hopefully we will all adjust soon!

Zenni Optical

The holiday season is right around the corner, and I'm sure like many people...I'm not the only who is trying to save every penny I can. With the economy the way it is right now....it's so important to spend wisely! Whether it be gifts you're buying, or items you're buying for yourself.....watching what you spend is one way to make sure that this hard financial time doesn't get too tough.

One way that I've started to cut spending in our household is a very simple way....using more coupons! I never used to use any....but now with money more tight and things more expensive....I find myself cutting as many coupons as I can. Myself, and my husband also find that we are willing to do little things that will help us to make more money...like taking surveys, etc. Every little bit extra helps immensely! Finally....the third thing we do is simply look for deals on items we would normally buy. For instance, I am currently in need of new prescription eye glasses. I've looked and looked, and the absolute best prices I find is with ZenniOptical.com. They sell the stylish glasses I'm looking for right online...starting at only $8!! Isn't that great? I can't help but appreciate their low prices and good quality, as it really is one way to help us save money and still have the things we need! I have enjoyed looking through their huge slection of frames and styles.

If you're looking to save money in these difficult times....yet need important items like eyeglasses....check out Zenni Optical who wants to help you!

One Year Old!

Today is Kaelyn's birthday...I can't believe she is one year old already! It's so crazy how quickly the time goes. It honestly feels like yesterday that we were in the hospital and holding her in our arms. Although today is her birthday, tomorrow is the day we're celebrating her birthday with a party with some family. It should be a really fun time...I'm sure looking forward to it! Today we're going to have a relaxing but fun day with Kaelyn with some gift oepning! I'm sure she'll really enjoy that! We'll be sure to post pictures very soon!

Allegro Medical

Whether it's a breast feeding pillow, a blood pressure monitor or even Pediasure, Allegro Medical has it all...and right online! They are one of the largest independent online retailers for life enhancing products in the US. They have been around for over 12 years and serve over 1 million customers. I was pleased to see that they offer products pertaining to nutritional supplements, exercise equipment and even baby supplies. These are definitely categories that I could find a great deal of items in. Searching through their site I found it to be very easy to use which is one reason I'm passing their site along. Allegro Medical is definitely worth checking out if you'd like to learn more about them and the medical supplies that they offer.

The Doctors

Recently I have been watching a new show called The Doctors. I find it to be very informative and educational. I really like that they have different opinions on there....as it is far more realistic than some of the other shows like this that I've seen before. They talk about all kinds of great topics....whether it be acne treatment, vaccinations, women's health, or men's health...they have it all for every kind of viewer. If you've never seen it, you really should. It's very interesting!

Wednesday Night

I love Wednesday nights...it's always a reminder that the weekend is almost here! Only a couple of more days and we'll be celebrating Kaelyn's birthday and having her party. I'm really excited. I'm sure being so busy the weekend will go by quite quickly...but that's ok....every minute of it will be so much fun!! It will be great to get the family together and celebrate her first birthday! I think she'll really enjoy it too.

Black Friday is Coming!

Black Friday is a shopping day I'm really looking forward to. I do every year, but this year more than ever. We have more people to shop for this Christmas season and I need to find the best deals possible! As many people know, this is the day to do that! If you've never been shopping on the Friday after Thanksgiving...you really must! It's the best possible day to get all those great holiday gifts. This year I'm hoping to plan ahead and get all the ads so I know exactly what I'm looking for. I think with all the crowds of people...it's good to know what you want so you can get in and out.

Recently I came across a site, iblackfriday.com, that makes it possible to see the blackfriday ads. They also offer email alerts to let people know when the ads have been posted. What I like best about this site is that it's a very user friendly site and makes planning easier.

It may sound a bit selfish, but the first thing on my list to find a cheap deal for is a camera. Just yesterday our camera broke and we are desperate to find a new one before the holidays. Since they are quite expensive, we have thought about waiting until Black Friday...as we know they will have outstanding deals! I'm hoping there will be some Best Buy Deals.

As a busy stay at home mom...I am happy to have any thing that will make cooking easier and more healthy for my family. I really feel that this grill will do that and am SO excited to get it in the mail. I am not sure which grill it is, but anything made by George Foreman is sure to impress! I would guess it should be coming in the next few days probably. I will let you know what it's like coming from a parent's point of view in a video review...so stay tuned!!

Drug Rehab

Have you ever heard of Promises Treatment Center before? I hadn't until just recently, but was impressed with what they do and wanted to pass it along for others who might be interested! Snow on the ground...

I can't believe that there is still snow on the ground!! Yesterday on our way home from my brothers, we ran into quite the little blizzard. It was almost white out conditions in some places, and sleet like you wouldn't believe. It was not nice and I was very relieved to be home. Now, this morning I wake up and find more snow on the ground. It hasn't all melted away yet, but hopefully by the end of the day it will. It can't be winter yet...it's not even November!

Giving to Charity

There are a lot of great sites out there these days, and I recently came across one. Have you ever heard of www.agoodcause.com before? I hadn't until just recently, but am so glad I happened to come across it! They are a global partnership between 700 NGO's like Save the Children, Red Cross and many others!! I respect this site and what they do very much. They want to help with animal welfare and human rights....and overall just make the world a better place! Who doesn't want that, right?!? So how do they do this you ask? Well, they allow shoppers online to support their favorite charities. It's really simple when you work with this site, because all you have to do is download the AidMaker software and the rest is automatic. Basically you can support your favorite chairty for free. The retailer of the online store you're shopping at will donate some of what you pay to your charity. Isn't that great? I thought it was very impressive. If you'd like to learn more about them as I did....check out their site today!

Nice Weekend!

We had such a nice weekend. It's not too often that we get the chance to get away and see my brother, so this past weekend we did just that! We decided to take a few days and go down to stay with him. We had a very nice time!! WE were able to hang out and just relax. We also got to eat some really yummy food and do a little shopping too. I'm so glad we were able to go down there. It was nice to see him and get away for a few days. I'm hoping we can do it again soon.

Video Card

My computer is fairly new, but Scott was recently telling me that I really should look into getting a better video card for it. I've been looking around and have found some video cards that I think would work, but really need to ask his opinion...as he's the technological one in the family. I'm not very informed on all of these computer related things. The one I found is on Buy.com though...so I'm sure he'll like it. He's loves to shop on this website!!

Visiting My Brother

I'm sure looking forward to this weekend. It's been a while since we got to go anywhere, and this weekend we're going to see my brother! I can't wait. We haven't been down to see him for months....so it will be a lot of fun! He's bene really busy lately and has had a lot going on...so it will be good for him to get his mind off of everything too! I think we'll probably just hang out most of the weekend and catch up. Then next weekend he'll be up to see us for Kaelyn's birthday party! Yeah!

Power Properties

Have you ever heard of Power Properties before? They are a company that I recently learned of. They aim to contribute to the East Dallas Business and Residential Community, and have been for over 13 years! A number of years ago...they actually got over 600 units in Lakewood and East Dallas. They purchased them, renovated them, leased them and managed them. I was impressed with all they do. If you'd like to learn more about them, check out their site today.

Princess Cake

I am REALLY excited for Kaelyn's birthday party. I was most stressed about the cake. I wanted it to be perfect and finally found a picture of one online that I thought would be great! We're going with a "princess" theme kind of...so I wanted the cake to be none other than a Princess crown. I wanted to make sure there would be enough pieces though...so we're going to have a Princess crown on top of a sheet cake. I know it sounds weird...but I think it will turn out really cute!! :)

Car Insurance

We really like the insurance company we work for. We've been told by some people to make sure we're getting the best deal by going to other companies in the area and getting a car insurance quote...however we feel it's more important to like the company you're with and have an agent you trust is working for you. We're very pleased with the coverage we have....and we really like our agent. I'm glad we've found such a great car insurance company.

Toys

Kaelyn absolutely loves bathtime. The only problem is, she doesn't have a whole lot of bath toys. With her birthday right around the corner, we thought...what better than to get her some bath toys. I'm really excited that she will finally have something to play with in there. I have a feeling that now it will be even harder to get her out. I know she's getting some other great toys for her birthday as well. It will be fun to see how she reacts to everything.

One Year Older...

Today I am one year older and it's crazy how fast the past year has gone! Isn't it weird to think back over the last year and all that has gone on in a fairly short period of time?? So much has changed in my life over the past year. The most memorable, and happiest day in the past year was definitely the birth of our daughter, Kaelyn!! She is our first child and has brought into our lives so much joy! I am truly blessed!! Last year at this time we were anticipating her arrival...and wondering when she would decide to enter this world and meet us! She decided to hold off until November 1st...but it was all worth the wait just to hold her in our arms!! :)

So far my birthday has started off perfectly....with kisses from my hubby and daughter and a sweet gift they got for me! I've been eying a super cute purse in our local mall for quite some time...and I guess Scott realized that. He surprised me with one of the purses that I have been wanting...what a sweet guy! I'm very luck to have him as my husband!! :) Seeing how my birthday is in the middle of the week like this...Scott had to work. But, I'm still looking forward to a night spent with him and Kaelyn later, just relaxing and enjoying a peaceful evening at home. This is my idea of the perfect birthday!!

Dr Lark

I, like most women, enjoy taking care of my skin. Even at a young age, I still enjoy making sure that my skin is soft and hydrated. I also like to reduce the appearance of any fine lines that are starting to show. I recently learned that the squalane skin care products on www.drlark.com can help with all of these things and more. They can truly help to soothe your skin and help it to appear younger. Isn't that great?!? What I was impressed with most about this site was that they have reasonably priced items and automatic order plans. You can check out their skin care products on the Dr. Lark site today for more information.

Shorter days and Colder weather

I don't know about you, but I don't really like when it gets dark out so early. It seems like I wake up in the morning and it's dark out, and then by 6:00 it's dark out. I would rather it be light out for much longer. I miss it...I guess that's summer time though...and now we're nearing winter time. Winter is definitely not one of my favorite times of year....I would much rather have the warm weather. Oh well...I guess that's the way it goes here in the midwest though.

Church in a Movie Theater

Have you ever attended a church service in a movie theater before? I know it sounds a little odd....but I've attended a church service in something like a movie theater before and it was a lot different than your traditional church service, as you can imagine. I would say the biggest difference was simply the setting and environment. Not having your traditional choir area and pulpit were very different, but at the same time really neat too. I guess it's important to remember that it's not necessarily important the building you worship in that's important...it's the fact that you're gathering together and worshiping. I really liked it! How would you like to experience something like this? If so...you should check out the first ever inaugural Theatre Church Conference in Silver Spring, MD. It's on October 22 and 23 and something I'd really like to check out also. If it sounds like something you'd enjoy...you can Find out more by checking out their site today. I wanted to Find out more and did just that and was quite impressed. I thought I'd share the news with others who are avid church goers and interested in learning what it's all about.

George Foreman Grill Review...coming soon!

I am really excited! I recently received news that I will be getting a new George Foreman in the mail to review. It's very exciting, as I've been looking for something that would not only make cooking meals for Kaelyn more convenient and fast, but also that are healthy and not full of fat and grease. George Foreman grills offer these little luxuries and I'm excited to try it out! Stay tuned for a full review and video of what I think!!

Police Gear

When I was growing up...I remember loving the fact that my dad was a police officer! I enjoyed seeing all of the police gear that he had. I always wondered where people get police gear something like the stuff he wore. Now I know that there is a site that offers all kinds of great things for outstanding prices. 511 tactical outdoors is definitely worth looking into if you're interested in finding products like Gear Bags, Polos, Pants, Shorts, and more! In visiting their site I found it to be very user-friendly. With the easy to use side bar linking to all of their categories it didn't take me any time at all to find exactly what it was I needed. I think this is something that everyone would appreciate. If you're looking for tactical gear, www.511tacticaloutdoors.com is the place to look first! I would have to say my favorite items are the tactical pants and polos, but judege for yourself and check them out today!

Computers

Do you ever get tired of computers? I mean, don't get me wrong...I love the technology and convenience of a computer...but today mine has been frustrating me! I have had so many problems getting things to load, as well as having our virus software popping up all the time. I'm going to have to have Scott take a look at it. It's gotten to the point where I'm almost ready to get on our old desktop. I don't have these kinds of problems with that computer.

Check out this NEW blog!

Blogging is the best way to keep family and friends updated on what's going on in our lives. I have been talking with Scott lately about getting another blog started up. One that is used more for the purpose of keeping family informed of what's going on in our lives. He decided that it would be fun to do that....and he wanted to also use it for personal use as far as talking about things that interest him, etc. I thought that would be great....so a couple of months ago he started up a new blog that I think people should check out. It's My Thinking Place. It's in it's starting stages, but I think he'll do a great job with it!

Holsted Jewelers

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love jewelry. I definitely think that this is the best gift for a woman. There is just so many kinds of jewelry and unique pieces to help bring out each person's individual personality. I think it's great. My birthday is coming up, and my hubby was asking me what kind of jewelry I would like. I told him that he should take a look at Holsted Jewelers, as they always have a great selection to choose from. They have costume jewelry, earrings, necklaces, rings...you name it!! I really like how you can go right on their site and see all that they have to offer. Their prices are great too! If you've never checked out their site, you'll definitely have to today!

Garage Sale

I was doing really well selling some things on ebay, and making quite a bit of money off of things that we were no longer using. However, over the past week I've been busy with other things and haven't been too good about listing new items. We have a whole storage room full of things to sell and really haven't been very good to continue our selling. I want to start things up again ans it's a really easy way to get some extra money. Scott thinks we should just have a garage sale and sell it all at once...that's definitely an option too.

Debates

Each night I sit here with Scott and find myself getting a headache. I started to wonder why, until I realized what we've been watching each night. All this political stuff actually is giving me a headache. I don't know what it is, but it's very irritating. I enjoy hearing the different subjects that each candidate has to discuss, but I'm really tired of hearing the arguing go on between other people who host these news shoes. I don't mind some of it...but it's to the point where all they do is argue back and forth. I have a feeling most people already have made up their decision, and those who haven't will probably watch the debate to help them. I would just rather watch something different one night...I may suggest this to Scott tonight.

Jones Act

Have you ever heard of Mark and Associates, P.C before? Maybe you've heard of their maritime attorney? They are the leading personal injury law firm and they back Senator Barack Obama for supporting the federal law that gives financial compensation to seamen who have been injured while doing their job. Obama supports the Jones Act. Have you ever heard of that before? It's a 1920 law that pays workers benefits that have been hurt while working. Youc an find more information on this topic at www.maritimelegalrights.com and jonesactrights.com. I'm sure if you support Obama you may have heard of this before, but even if you haven't....chances are you still may have.

The Weekend Is Here

I'm really looking forward to the fact that it's Friday tomorrow!! This week just flew by! I can't believe how quickly it has gone. It seems like just yesterday it was Monday...and now we're here with another weekend upon us. I've been looking forward to this particular weekend for quite some time now. A good friend of mine is having a bridal shower on Saturday morning that I plan to attend, and then Saturday evening Scott and I have a banquet to go to for his job. Kaelyn will be staying with my parents while we're gone. It should be a fun weekend...but I'm sure it will go very fast.

Charter Giveaway

We have been using the Charter services for over a year now and really like what they have to offer. We've had no problems with them, and would recommend their company to anyone in search for the thing they have to offer. Not only do they have great services for cable, internet and telephone....they also offer amazing and fun opportunities to win prizes. Recently I read that by going online and ordering a service from them, or just registering you can automatically be entered to win a Honda Civic Hybrid worth $24,000!!! I don't know about you, but that's a car I'd love to have, and one that I'm going to try to win! It has fabric interior and gets up to 45 mpg! I got to thinking that going with Charter not only helps you save on the services they offer, but also can help you save on gas with the possibility of winning a great car like this Honda. If you are someone who lives in an area which offers Charter services, definitely check out the official information on this at Charter's website at https://connect.charter.com/hybrid/?ID=171&OriginatingID=420129 . It's a user friendly site, so you'll have no problem getting there and finding exactly what you're looking for!

Migraine Headaches

Migraines are no fun!! I talked with my mom briefly today and she told me that she had a terrible headache...one that had her sick to her stomach. From experience this is not a fun situation. Having a severe migraine like this can ruin your whole day. It gets to the point where you just need to lay down and can't do much of anything. I sure feel for my mom and hope that this headache goes away soon.

Journey Lite

Have you or someone you know struggled with weight? I know many people in this same boat, and almost all of them have either had or looked into getting surgery. What kind of surgery? Well, the least invasive, and completely reversible Lap-Band System. This is a band that's placed at the top of the stomach to make you feel more full, hence allowing you to eat less and ultimately lose weight. It's a great option for some people. If you'd like to find out if it's right for you, check into JourneyLite for more information on houston weight loss surgery.

Brrr!

Wow...I think this morning is the coldest it's been so far this Fall season! I woke up and the thermostat said it was 66 degrees in the house. We may have to start turning on the heat...at least to keep it at or above 68. It was pretty cold...especially for Kaelyn. It just doesn't seem like it should be that time of year already. Turning on the heat makes me feel like I'm acknowledging that winter is almost here. Oh well...I guess you do what you gotta do, right?!

Benefits of Credit Card Processing For Your Business

Have you stopped to think how many people currently use credit cards in our world today?!? This is probably the most popular form of payment for many people. I know it is for us. It's just so convenient. I especially like to use it when shopping online. Businesses really benefit by offering credit card processing services. They bring buyers like myself to their sites much easier. They not only gain more customers since this is their primary way of paying, but they also save themselves time and money by not having to hassle with late payments or sending out notices requesting payment. They get the payment right away!! This is definitely the way to go, no matter if you sell things that are cheap, or expensive...consumers usually like to use credit cards for almost everything.

Eventful Few Days

We've had an exciting past few days. In a smaller town like ours, when Extreme Makeover Home Edition comes, it's a BIG deal! :) Scott and I have always enjoyed watching it, so to have had the opportunity to go out and see a house that they are building now far from where we live has been pretty neat. We went out three different times. We took pictures of the home they are building as well as with some of the designers. They hand over the keys to the home today to the family at 2PM. I'm sure they will be pretty excited to see all that they have done. It's incredible!

Commercials

I enjoy the time I get to watch TV at night. It's not too often that I get to sit down and just relax, so when that time comes during the day, I take it!! The only thing I don't enjoy so much are the commercials. Do you ever feel like you are watching more commercials than actual shows?? Some of them are interesting, but when you watch the same acne commercials or same cell phone commercials over and over it can be quite annoying. I know that this is just how the industry works....it's just irritating sometimes.

TGIF

Thank goodness it's Friday! I don't work out of the home, but Fridays and weekends are still my favorite days of the week. Kaelyn and I both look forward to it now that Scott has a new job and is able to be home with us on the weekends. It's nice to spend time with him. It's also a time when he can spend quality time with Kaelyn while I get things done around the house. I'm so glad that this job allows him to have his weekends free.....I just love it!
