VA Tech Shooting

There was actually a professor in Boston who replayed the VA Tech Shootings in one of his classes two days after the terrible massacre took place. He was leading a discussion about the horrifying situation, and then starting roleplaying, pretending to shoot students. Although the school did want professors to talk with their students about the things that took place at VA Tech, they didn't mean for him to actually roleplay the situation for them. He was fired by the university for his actions.

The Price is Right

I think I had heard that Bob Barker would be retiring from the Price is Right a while back, but today is the first day that I heard the news on the news. In fact, along with this news, they also released some names of possible replacements as well as the date that Bob will say good by to the show. Sounds like they will release a replacement and Bob will retire in early June...that's not too far off. I've always enjoyed the Price is Right, and I'm not sure that it will be the same with Bob Barker! I guess we'll just have to see how it goes.

Campus around the nation

As if the news about the Virginia Tech shootings isn't sad enough, in the past two days, there have been other schools that have received bomb threats similar to the ones found at VT. It just saddens me that people would watch this tragedy unfold all over television, and then some go out and threaten their own schools!! There was a school down in Texas, one in Minnesota, and one in New Jersey! I just can't believe it!

Pet Food

FDA has expanded the pet food recall today. I thought that all that was behind us, until I heard on the news today, that pet foods containing rice protein are now being recalled and taken off the shelves as well. It's pretty scary for us pet lovers, who don't want anything bad to happen to any pets. It saddens me to hear how many people have lost their pets to this situation, and hope that it gets figured out very soon!
