My Sweeties

We recently had our children's 1 yr and 3 yr pictures taken. They are the best. Kaelyn loved putting on her picture face (as she calls it) and Kaden loves to smile. It was wonderful!

My Parents

The months of Nov and Dec my family celebrates many birthdays! My parents took a moment for a picture at one of the parties. We are thankful that they live close and can be a part of our celebrations!

Pictures and Cake

What a day! It was productive and quite successful! Scott and I spent last night trying to figure out how to make a nice color of brown for frosting Kaden's Birthday cake. We finally gave up and went to bed. Today we woke up refreshed and started out the day taking the kids for their yearly pictures. They turned out so cute. They both smiled and set so well. Then we came home and started in on the cake again. I think it turned out pretty cute. :) Tomorrow's party should be a lot of fun!

Birthday Girl!

Our daughter Kaelyn just turned 3! I can't believe how fast that time has gone. I always hear others talk of time flying, but now I am experiencing it myself.
We had a wonderful turn out for Kaelyn and she had such a good time! She was all smiles!

Ipad

Isn't it amazing how children can find their way around a computer. They are getting younger and younger. This is my nephew showing Kaelyn how to play games on the Ipad. They love it!

Dream Family Vacation to Kissimmee

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Kissimmee Tourism. All opinions are 100% mine.

After such a long and cold winter, hubby and I have been seriously discussing going on a great family vacation. I'm the only one out of the family who has been to Florida, so that's top on our list. In researching places and things to do...I came across Kissimmee. As a child, I was able to visit the Kissimmee area several times and just loved it. It's known as the heart of Florida and being right next to Orlando...you're sure to have plenty to do between the beaches, theme parks and more!

What makes Kissimmee the ideal vacation spot, is that it's close to everything! Whether you're looking to spend a day at the beach or go to Florida's amazing theme parks...you'll find a little of everything. In just the short time I've been planning our vacation so far, I've already come up with an itinerary of things I would definitely want to do while we were there.

I'd love to visit Walt Disney World again for sure! It's such a magical place for young children and one I know my kids would absolutely love! There's so much to do there, and it's certainly a vacation memory that would last for years to come.

I'd also want enjoy a little shopping and eating in Celebration. I've been there once and loved the feel of this place. I think my hubby would just love it!

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is also a place I think would be great to take the kids!

As far as a place to stay, I haven't quite decided, but think it would be great to stay at the Radisson Orlando Celebration Resort! It looks beautiful, is close to a lot of things and has a lot of great features.

I am really looking forward to the possibility of making this dream vacation a reality! The things to do and the places to stay are absolutely endless. It will be a vacation to remember always...that's for sure! If you'd like to plan your dream vacation to Kissimmee, visit here today!

Preschool Graduation

I'm really looking forward to this weekend. Before we moved up north...I taught preschool for about two years. Since we left midway through the school year, I really wanted to be able to go back and see them all graduate to Kindergarten. This Friday is their Preschool Graduation and I can't wait! The students are what I miss most about my job and I'm really excited to see them all! The graduation ceremony is quite the little program...the kids sing, then they walk across the bridge and get their diploma (all while wearing their graduation hat).:) It's so cute...I'm so thrilled that I'm able to go down and be apart of it. My parents even get to come with me which will be fun too, as they've never met my class or seen where I work. It should be a really great weekend.

Time Flies!

Today my sister-in-law, who just finished getting her degree in Education at a University here, is over using our computer getting everything in order for the dreaded job search that we all face once out of school! It's crazy to think that only two years ago I was finishing up with college and searching for a teaching a job! What a stressful time, sending out resumes and hoping that the right job comes along. Especially going into education....sometimes it's very hard to land that first job. It can take a lot of time to find something that's right for you. I was blessed to get my teaching job shortly out of school and I'm hoping my sister-in-law finds that her search is short-lived as well! Wow...how time flies!

Mother's Day

I can't believe it's already that time of year when Mother's Day is right around the corner! It's fun to think that next year at this time I will be celebrating Mother's Day with my husband and baby...what an exciting thing to think about! It's fun when people come up to me and say "Happy Mother's Day" already, even though we're not expecting our new arrival until October. It really makes the whole experience seem so real and makes me feel more and more like a mom everyday! :)

Orlando Florida

Orlando, Florida is one of the best vacations I ever had as a child. I think I enjoyed it so much because it was just "magical" with all the characters and rides at Disney World! What a great memory! I enjoyed it just as much the few times I was able to go as an adult as well, and can't wait to bring my own children one day to experience the "magic" for themselves.

Planning a vacation to Disney World will be easy now that I found out about Orlandofuntickets.com. Here is where I will be able to find discount tickets for Disney World and other Orlando theme parks and attractions! In fact, they guarantee their prices to be the lowest!! What a great way to make planning a big vacation like this easy and stress-free. Who knows, maybe we'll even take advantage of their wonderful discounts on Universal Studios Tickets when we plan our vacation to Orlando?! This was yet another wonderful experience that I remember when vacationing in Florida. If you're like me and would love to find discounts to the magical place of Orlando Florida, learn more at Orlandofuntickets.com.

Busy Season

It's been so nice having Scott home earlier now that the busy season is slowing down. Although I he still works rather long days, I get to see him so much more now! I enjoy having him home for supper and at night so we can spend some time together throughout the week. I also really like the fact that he's going to be able to start spending weekends with me again!!

Expecting our new addition!

Family is so important to my husband and I, and that's why we are SOOO excited about our new addition, Baby Gaskill, expected in October!! Although we still have about 5 months, it's so excited to think and talk about. This will be our first child and we are absolutely ecstatic!! What an amazing gift a baby is...a true blessing. As we prepare for our soon new arrival, we've been slowly picking up things here and there. Until I really started thinking about it, I didn't realize how many things we needed before we have the baby. It's so much fun to prepare for though...I can't wait!!

Fun Fun

I ended up having a great time with my parents this weekend! I missed Scott because he was working much of it, but I still really had a wonderful time. It was fun and relaxing. We went shopping, went to a bridal shower, ate yummy food, and even enjoyed the weather and sat outside for a bit yesterday! Although I don't care much about tanning, I actually think I may have caught a few rays just sitting out there for a short while. It was so nice!

New Job

I'm so happy for my little brother, as he recently accepted a great position with John Deere! I think what's even more great is that he found a job that is right up his alley, even before he graduated from UNI!! Lots of college students graduate, having applied for many positions, but not having a job. I'm so happy that he's one of the blessed ones, who got out there and got a great job right away! Way to go Jake!!

Zoe

I'm excited! My parents are going to let me borrow their puppy Zoe for the next week! She's just such good company and such a good dog. If anyone is ever looking to get a great family dog, I strongly recommend looking into Bichons! They are sweet, mild-mannered, great with people, and well behaved. She's such a sweetie and I can't wait to have her around for the next week!

Landscape Design

I have learned a great deal about landscaping from my sister-in-law who landscapes for a living. From what I've learned, landscaping is much more than planting some flowers outside. Landscaping is a way to express yourself and the vision you may have for your property. Landscaping is also a great way to increase the value of your home. Are you interested in learning more about where you can find a great landscaper to find something that's not only beautiful, but also one that fits your budget? If so, then I recommend you check out SLDA Landscape Design Associates. They will meet and talk with you about your vision, and work with you to create something amazing and unique! Check them out today.
