Jones Act

Have you ever heard of Mark and Associates, P.C before? Maybe you've heard of their maritime attorney? They are the leading personal injury law firm and they back Senator Barack Obama for supporting the federal law that gives financial compensation to seamen who have been injured while doing their job. Obama supports the Jones Act. Have you ever heard of that before? It's a 1920 law that pays workers benefits that have been hurt while working. Youc an find more information on this topic at www.maritimelegalrights.com and jonesactrights.com. I'm sure if you support Obama you may have heard of this before, but even if you haven't....chances are you still may have.

The Weekend Is Here

I'm really looking forward to the fact that it's Friday tomorrow!! This week just flew by! I can't believe how quickly it has gone. It seems like just yesterday it was Monday...and now we're here with another weekend upon us. I've been looking forward to this particular weekend for quite some time now. A good friend of mine is having a bridal shower on Saturday morning that I plan to attend, and then Saturday evening Scott and I have a banquet to go to for his job. Kaelyn will be staying with my parents while we're gone. It should be a fun weekend...but I'm sure it will go very fast.

Charter Giveaway

We have been using the Charter services for over a year now and really like what they have to offer. We've had no problems with them, and would recommend their company to anyone in search for the thing they have to offer. Not only do they have great services for cable, internet and telephone....they also offer amazing and fun opportunities to win prizes. Recently I read that by going online and ordering a service from them, or just registering you can automatically be entered to win a Honda Civic Hybrid worth $24,000!!! I don't know about you, but that's a car I'd love to have, and one that I'm going to try to win! It has fabric interior and gets up to 45 mpg! I got to thinking that going with Charter not only helps you save on the services they offer, but also can help you save on gas with the possibility of winning a great car like this Honda. If you are someone who lives in an area which offers Charter services, definitely check out the official information on this at Charter's website at https://connect.charter.com/hybrid/?ID=171&OriginatingID=420129 . It's a user friendly site, so you'll have no problem getting there and finding exactly what you're looking for!

Migraine Headaches

Migraines are no fun!! I talked with my mom briefly today and she told me that she had a terrible headache...one that had her sick to her stomach. From experience this is not a fun situation. Having a severe migraine like this can ruin your whole day. It gets to the point where you just need to lay down and can't do much of anything. I sure feel for my mom and hope that this headache goes away soon.

Journey Lite

Have you or someone you know struggled with weight? I know many people in this same boat, and almost all of them have either had or looked into getting surgery. What kind of surgery? Well, the least invasive, and completely reversible Lap-Band System. This is a band that's placed at the top of the stomach to make you feel more full, hence allowing you to eat less and ultimately lose weight. It's a great option for some people. If you'd like to find out if it's right for you, check into JourneyLite for more information on houston weight loss surgery.

Brrr!

Wow...I think this morning is the coldest it's been so far this Fall season! I woke up and the thermostat said it was 66 degrees in the house. We may have to start turning on the heat...at least to keep it at or above 68. It was pretty cold...especially for Kaelyn. It just doesn't seem like it should be that time of year already. Turning on the heat makes me feel like I'm acknowledging that winter is almost here. Oh well...I guess you do what you gotta do, right?!

Benefits of Credit Card Processing For Your Business

Have you stopped to think how many people currently use credit cards in our world today?!? This is probably the most popular form of payment for many people. I know it is for us. It's just so convenient. I especially like to use it when shopping online. Businesses really benefit by offering credit card processing services. They bring buyers like myself to their sites much easier. They not only gain more customers since this is their primary way of paying, but they also save themselves time and money by not having to hassle with late payments or sending out notices requesting payment. They get the payment right away!! This is definitely the way to go, no matter if you sell things that are cheap, or expensive...consumers usually like to use credit cards for almost everything.

Eventful Few Days

We've had an exciting past few days. In a smaller town like ours, when Extreme Makeover Home Edition comes, it's a BIG deal! :) Scott and I have always enjoyed watching it, so to have had the opportunity to go out and see a house that they are building now far from where we live has been pretty neat. We went out three different times. We took pictures of the home they are building as well as with some of the designers. They hand over the keys to the home today to the family at 2PM. I'm sure they will be pretty excited to see all that they have done. It's incredible!

Commercials

I enjoy the time I get to watch TV at night. It's not too often that I get to sit down and just relax, so when that time comes during the day, I take it!! The only thing I don't enjoy so much are the commercials. Do you ever feel like you are watching more commercials than actual shows?? Some of them are interesting, but when you watch the same acne commercials or same cell phone commercials over and over it can be quite annoying. I know that this is just how the industry works....it's just irritating sometimes.

TGIF

Thank goodness it's Friday! I don't work out of the home, but Fridays and weekends are still my favorite days of the week. Kaelyn and I both look forward to it now that Scott has a new job and is able to be home with us on the weekends. It's nice to spend time with him. It's also a time when he can spend quality time with Kaelyn while I get things done around the house. I'm so glad that this job allows him to have his weekends free.....I just love it!
