House Work

There are a lot of things that Scott and I would like to do around our house over the years. One of the things we'd like to do soon is a little remodeling work in our basement. We'd love to do some work in our family room, as well as finishing off an already partial bathroom. I'm not sure which we'll do first, but I'm guessing the bathroom would take some work. I'd like to make sure that there's plenty of storage in there, as well as a walk in tub. We've been looking around, but haven't seen exactly what we're looking for. Oh well, there's time.

Epocrates

Epocrates is a company that has made it possible for healthcare professionals to get drug information quickly and easily by use of their medical drug reference software for PDA's. When you think about it, most Drs carry around a device like this...so having software like this available to them will help them easily find answers to their questions regarding health plan coverage, drug dosing, side effects and more! From what I read, it sounds like there are already over 500,000 doctors using them. And, it's only become more popular. Not only is this kind of software available on on smartphones, but also blackberries and soon iphones too! If you'd like to learn more about this great software, check out their site today! There is where you'll find a wealth of information.

Busy Season

April and May are always nice months, because the weather starts to get warmer. Unfortunately though, these are also the months that my husband stays rather busy at work. He works in the agriculture business, so he's very busy this time of year. His busy season requires him to be at work very long hours, and most weeks...7 days!! That time has come and he's been exhausted every night when he comes home. Thankfully it's raining out though...so this weekend he will be home with us! That's always nice.:)

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Kaelyn and I were having so much fun going outdoors and enjoying the weather, that now when it's raining...I'm kind of bummed. She really enjoys riding in her new stroller...and it was something that we got to do quite a bit this week. Over the past couple of days however, the rain has kept us indoors. It's fairly warm out, but the rain makes it hard to do much of anything! I hope that this weather isn't going to stick around long so we can get back outdoors. We've been cooped up all winter long...and we're ready to have some fun outside in the nice weather!!

Monex

Anyone who has ever looked into investing money, has probably heard of the Monex Deposit Company before. That's because they are known as America's gold and precious metals investment leader and have been around for over 30 years! They are a trusted company and offer excellent customer service. They make it possible for you to purchase gold, silver and other precious metals and arrange for it to be delivered to you or a safe storage place. Buying gold is a very smart move to make investment wise, and one that you may want to consider some time soon. If you'd like to learn more, feel free to check out their site today.

Proud Parents!

Since having Kaelyn, I have learned how important it is to have the video camera and digital camera next to me at all times...not forgetting to make sure their fully charged as well! It seems that one minute Kaelyn will be on the floor playing with her toys....and in the blink of an eye she is off learning to do something new. When possible, I am always making sure to try and catch everything on film. Recently that "something" was getting up on her hands and knees. Scott and I knew that this time would come sooner than later, as Kaelyn is a very curious little girl...always wanting to discover the environment around her. She has been scooting around and moving every which way except for forwards for a couple of months now. Soon, she will be moving in that direction though....as getting up on her hands and knees is a very good indication that crawling will be next. It was so cute to watch her as she did this for the firs time. It took so much effort for her to get to that point, and once she did her little face shined and she looked so proud of herself. I'm sure it helped that Scott and I were cheering and clapping...saying "YYEEAAHH Kaelyn!!":) I suppose you could see we're very proud parents!!

Be Oyster Aware

I think people would say that I am daring when it comes to the things I eat. I enjoy trying new things, and will pretty much try anything at least once. Thinking about all of the different foods that I've tried I remember the first time I tried oysters. I think of this experience first, because it definitely was not a pleasant one. Even though I did not care for eating Gulf oysters, I know that there are many people who really like them. To be honest, I never really even knew if it was very healthy to eat them raw. From what I've read and heard, it isn't a big deal as long as the person eating them does not have a weakened immune system for one reason or another. It's important to be Oyster Aware, and that's why I really like the site BeOysterAware.com. They offer a lot of helpful information for anyone wanting to learn more. If this is something that you'd like to know more about it, head over to their site today! You won't be sorry you did.

American Idol Surprise

Did anyone else watch American Idol last night? If so, were you rather surprised that Carly got voted off? I really like Brooke and Jason both, but I think that Carly did better than each of them. Over the weeks, I would say she's been much more consistent. I guess it goes to show that this television show is not only a "singing" competition as Simon always says...but also a "popularity contest" too. I think it's all a matter of who has the larger fan base. That's why you just never know with this show. Just because someone does poorly for many weeks in a row...doesn't necessarily mean they will get eliminated. We'll have to see what happens next week...

Home Makeovers

Recently Scott and I have been having a lot of fun watching the different home makeover television shows that are on at night. We have always enjoyed this type of show, and it seems that there are so many on now...more than ever in fact! Anyways...watching these shows has really made us think about the different things we can and would like to do in our own house one day. Everything from little things to replacing lights, to bigger things like redoing our kitchen and bathroom. It's fun to think of all the things we'll do someday.
