Bought a Scale

Today when I was in Walmart, I decided to finally buy a scale so that I can start weighing myself. Throughout my entire pregnancy so far, I have had no idea how much I weigh, or how much I'm gaining. I go to the doctor about once a month, but I'd like to keep a closer watch on my weight gain for my own personal knowledge. I don't know why it took me so long to just buy one...it was like 6 dollars. :) Now I will be able to track my weight gain and now how much I have gained at the end of the pregnancy.

Thoughts on the Supernatural

Although my husband and I don't get to a lot of movies these days, I am always interested in learning about the ones that are coming out soon. Usually we end up renting movies after they come out on DVD, unless they really catch our attention and make us want to see them! One movie that I recently came across really did catch my, mainly because even the quick preview of the movie's storyline had me on the edge of my seat. The 1408 Movie, by Stephen King, is a movie about a man who is interested in learning more about the afterlife after he loses his daughter. He's never had any encounters with the supernatural, and isn't sure what to believe, that is, until he stays in motel room 1408. There have been a number of deaths in this room, and it is believed to have been due to bad supernatural events happening in it, connecting these deaths to that of the unknown. John Cusack, the father who's set on learning more, decides to stay in this room. During his stay he experiences and sees many different unusual things. It seems to be a very intense movie, one that I would most definitely need my husband there to hold onto if we went to see it!

As far as my beliefs go, I definitely believe in the supernatural. I believe that there are good and bad sides to the supernatural and unknown world. God is definitely part of the supernatural world! He is the absolute good, the person who cares for everyone in this world and would not in anyway want to scare or harm them like the ghostly characters in this movie. I believe the supernatural characters in this movie are the bad, or evil spirits that are very real as well. I never have had an encounter with the supernatural, and if I do, it will be the good...as I do not believe that the evil spirits among us can harm me!

Being Pregnant

In the house that we're renting there was no Carbon Monoxide detector. Although I know that our home is fine, it gives me piece of mind to have one, much like having a smoke detector. I definitely think more things like that come to mind because I'm pregnant...I'm constantly thinking of the health and well being of our baby. I guess it's just the motherly instinct that I've already begun to show...which is a good thing. Mother's want to care for, and protect their children and I want to do that, even before my child is born. That's why I decided to go out and get a Carbon Monoxide Alarm, so that the environment that I'm living in is as safe as possible.

Football Tickets

I don't know about you other wives out there, but my husband is a complete football fanatic!! When it is football season, I pretty much know where to find him when a game is on...in the living room in front of the television! Although he does have favorite teams, he watches almost every game that's aired. I for one am not a huge football fan, but think it would be fun to surprise him with tickets to a game sometime. Maybe I should get some Pittsburgh steelers tickets?! I really think he'd enjoy that!! I know I could find great tickets at GreatSeats.com. You should check it out and surprise the football fan in your life.

Luggage Source

My husband and I found that buying luggage can be more difficult than it may seem. Many people register for luggage for their weddings, but few actually get the luggage, so we opted not to do this. Then after we had been married a couple years we began thinking how nice it would be to have our luggage set, so didn't have to use other people's every time we went somewhere. As we looked around, it was difficult to find luggage in our price range and of good quality. Thankfully, my father-in-law was kind enough to by us some very nice, and good quality luggage for C-mas one year. Although I love it, if I were to look into buying more luggage for myself or someone else, I would definitely check out the Luggage Source online. They offer a huge variety of luggage, having something for everyone no matter what the occasion or budget. I am going to share this site with anyone I know who is looking for reasonably priced, and good quality luggage.

Capella University

In case you have never heard of Capella University, it is a fully accredited online university. There are actually 17,000 students currently!! I thought that was pretty amazing. On the Inside Online Education podcast, there is an interview with Dr. Carla Thomas, who is wanting to get her PhD in healthcare administration through the university. She would like to become a U.S. Surgeon General when she's finished. These podcasts not only feature people like Dr. Thomas, but also students, faculty and staff who are more than willing all their own personal experiences at this online university. If you're interested in learning more about Capella, check out the podcasts on their site, capella.edu.

Business Directory

Have you ever heard of AtList.org? I hadn't until recently, but wanted to share this site with everyone because I found it to be very interesting and useful for many people. They are actually the largest nationwide directory out there. After reviewing this site I came to realize how beneficial it is for businesses to reach customers by becoming a part of this directory. People will also find this site very useful, as it helps them gain a better understanding of different businesses through the information and reviews available to them on this Local business directory. If you'd like to learn more, simply check out there site today. This is a paid post.

Dogsitting

Once in a while we watch my parents dog, especially if they are out of town. This week I was gonna take Zoe just for fun, because love having her around! She's a Bichon Frise and such a good dog. I was thinking we'd maybe watch her this week, but then remembered that it's her birthday tomorrow. My parents have a tradition on Zoe's birthday...they give her a cupcake and take lots of pictures. I thought she better be home for that, so maybe we'll watch her another week.:)

Radar Detectors

When I was in high school it seemed that everyone had radar detectors. I never got a radar detector back then, and still don't have one to this day, but I do know how popular they are...especially among the young people. In fact, they are so popular that there is actually a site with a variety of radar detectors that people can buy. This site not only offers radar detectors, but also information about them such as their legality, how to use them, etc. If you're interested in learning more about radar detectors and finding one for your vehicle, check this site out today.

Florida Rental Vacation

One of my all time favorite vacation spots is Orlando Florida! They have so much to do, for adults and children alike. Orlando, Florida is somewhere my husband has never been...and I would love to surprise him with a vacation there someday. Once we have kids and they are a bit older...I could see us planning a very nice family vacation there. In planning this vacation, I'm going to have to keep in mind a site that I came across recently, all about Florida rental vacation homes in Orlando. They have information on all kinds of offers that my family and I would be interested in when we finally make it down there.
